The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 is an upcoming American computer animated adventure film distributed by Universal Pictures and animated by Illumination in collaboration with Nintendo, the film is a sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Plot
Two years after the events of the first film, Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) are slowly getting used to their lives in the Mushroom Kingdom after moving there. Meanwhile, in Brooklyn, a green-spotted egg hatches, and Mario and Luigi have to get the creature named Yoshi (Tom Holland) back to Yoshi's Island, the place where the brothers were delivered. The Koopalings also break Bowser out, and he wants to get revenge on Mario and Luigi for defeating him, he also gets help from his clan of kids, whom are Bowser Jr. (Tara Strong) and the Koopalings, with help from two new plumbers, Wario and Waluigi. This will also introduce new characters from the games.
Why It's Still-a Super
- This movie will be more faithful to the games, as it will have even more elements from the games and multiple characters from the series who didn't make appearances in the first film make appearances.
- There are a lot of easter eggs.
