Duolingo's Clubhouse is a web series by the YouTube user Duolingo Latam that started on March 10, 2024.
Why It Intentionally Should Be Sued By Duolingo Themselves
NOTE: This Show is Made to be Bad on purpose as a Joke, including all reasons, so please, don't take the show it seriously.
- To get the elephant out the room: the series is your typical Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ripoff, but with poor character renders slapped around stolen background.
- Girlingo is literally a blatant reskin out of Duo, the mascot of Duolingo itself.
- Pou and his plush form are also stolen.
- Lily's character renders are not just stolen, but with poor background cutouts. Why can't you just find a better image of Lily from Duolingo rather than screenshotting it?
- Poor animation, even for 2024 standards. While Kinemaster is a good editing software, it isn't really meant for animation.
- As mentioned before in the first reason, the backgrounds for the show's theme song are stolen:
- The Bliss background for Windows XP is featured when the house pops up, which is a violation to Charles O'Rear & Microsoft's copyright.
- The fields are literally stolen Minecraft renders.
- Add more insult to injury: there are renders from gameplay of Minecraft servers, which do not belong in a MMC styled show.
- The clubhouse is literally a house emoji, not a clubhouse. You need effort to make a clubhouse for the show.
- Poor timing of the theme song. It's literally the instrumental of Monster Mash by Bobby "Boris" Pickett with text to speech that is barely singing at all.
- Misleading title: The episodes have nothing to do with the clubhouse itself, instead, it's just some Minecraft gameplay with all the characters slapped around it.
- Horrid voice acting. It's literally text to speech, making the show feel like a video made with Vyond/GoAnimate.
- Many episodes are made at the incorrect time periods:
- Christmas day! (made on March 10, 2024, NOWHERE near Christmas at all)
- Happy new year! (made on March 10, 2024)
- Happy Halloween Talking Tom (made on March 29, 2024 and April 4, 2024 respectively)
- Coincidentally, all of those episodes have NOTHING to do with the aforementioned holidays.
- Some episodes have NO voice acting at all.
- The songs are literally abruptly sang, they are all songs from MMC but sang with text to speech.
- The show is trying to be hip & cool with the kids, as the show mimics memes like the sad Pou plush, which is popular towards Gen Alpha.
- Episodes are made very quickly. This really proves the episodes are rushed & the show is literally a cash cow.
- Overall, the show itself is ABUSIVE to the Mickey Mouse franchise & Duolingo.
The Only Redeeming Quality
- It's kind of great to see a show based on Duolingo itself.
Reception
The show really isn't well received by viewers. Due to the show being so obscure and poorly-made, the show itself has no page in IMDb or TV Tropes.

- There is a movie based on the show. However, it's still got the same flaws as the show itself.
