Sprunki is an Incredibox fangame released on Scratch on August 24, 2024(?). The game's original Scratch release has been taken down, but has since been reuploaded online to mirror sites. Ever since it released, it has gained a fandom online and has became the result of a meme.

Why It's Sprunki

1. It's a huge improvement of the the indie horror genre, because its previous attempts of improving indie horror (Dandy's World, Fundamental Paper Education, etc.) have been flawed, mainly due to the amount of content farms turning these franchises into brainrot. It should be noted that Dandy's World was made by Rox, a pedophile, but luckily, he has since been fired.
2. Stays faithful to the original game it was based on & its premise, hence the fact it is an Incredibox fangame.
3. Nice and colourful visuals, even for Scratch standards.
4. Due to its popularity, it has since revolutionized the Incredibox modding community.
5. It follows the same standard of each Incredibox fangame, it can be used as a tool to create your own music.
6. It has since gained a lighthearted and friendly fanbase!
7. It's moddable as well, since its code is open-source and using Scratch's editor, you can create variations with custom characters.
8. Contains good references to other media, for example, a character is named Lario, named after the Pizza Tower meme.
9. Overall, this can be enjoyable for anybody of all ages. (despite containing a horror mode)

Nightmare Qualities

1. Due to being a mod of Incredibox and following the same gameplay, it can easily be mistaken for an educational tool for schools.
2. Since Sprunki fits into the indie horror genre, it has became an extremely common (and currently the most recent) target for Elsagate and content farms ranging from LankyBox, Hornstromp, BenjixScarlett & unlicensed merchandise (plushies, clothing, to name a few). Unfortunately, due to this, the original creator (NyankoBfLol) has destroyed the reputation of his career, and even regrets making Sprunki.
3. Releasing the game on Scratch was quite an inappropriate idea, because of its usage of blood and gore. It should be noted that Scratch is a website aimed at people aged from 8-16.

Reception

Sprunki has gained positive feedback from Scratch users, and has became very popular.
