House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO. It is the second television series in A Song of Ice and Fire franchise and is a prequel to Game of Thrones.

Why It's the House of the Dragon

1. While making a prequel to a show with one lousy season (season 8) may sound like a bad idea initially, it surprisingly worked well and shows that it can be Game of Thrones at its most significant peak.
2. The poster is epic, showing Rhaenyra Targaryen standing in front of the dragon on the steps while also showing off flames in the background.
