Les Griffin is the European French dub of Family Guy. It has previously aired on Télétoon and Radio-Canada, and it is currently airing on Canal+, Tipik, MCM and AB1; it is also available online on Disney+.

Why This Dub Not Our Family Guy

  1. The voice acting is pretty bad, since most of the voice cast doesn't fit the characters and they rather sound strange, one notable exemple is Bart in the episode "The Simpsons Guy", for more details about it, see (WINOFG#10).
  2. For some reason, not only the voice acting is bad, it's also annoying and ear grating, especially Lois and Stewie, but howewer Stewie voice isn't the worst and is kind of decent for this dub.
  3. Although most characters weren't flanderized (thankfully), they are somewhat intolerable to most viewers, mostly due to the bad voice acting.
  4. The cutaway gags are not funny. Even if this is a French dub we're talking about, this doesn't cut it, this is especially true with the newer seasons.
  5. The theme song was horribly done, as the voice actors didn't try to put effort into it. Or didn't even try to sing!
  6. Very questionable translation errors.
  7. The humor is somewhat mean spirited. And sometimes stupid as well, and is a massive downgrade from the english version,
  8. The writing, while decent is stupid and obnoxious compared to the other dubs, at least for the first seasons.
  9. As said in WTDINOFG#1, the voice of Bart is not the original, but here what the problem, for some reasons, Homer and Marge had their original French voice but for some reasons, Bart and Lisa doesn't had their respective voices, and you guessed, their voice are awful and doesn't fit them, especially Bart, who almost sound like a man in puberty.
  10. Nowadays, almost all the times the songs aren't translated.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The characters are still likeable, because after all, their personality wasn't changed.
  2. The theme song is still catchy and good, despite the bad singing.
  3. Some of the voice aren't terrible, such as Brian.
