Good Qualities

1. Most of the original cast for the babies' return.
2. A fair bit of surprise characters, like the return of the one-time character "Josh".
3. The animation does look decent even if it's dark shaded and outdated.
4. Angelica acts a bit more tolerable in this reboot.

Bad Qualities

1. There is a little lack of source material:
   • Stu is portrayed as a gamer rather than an inventor..
   • Didi is portrayed as a blogger rather than a child psychologist.
   • Lou is portrayed as an active hippie rather than a World War II veteran (Granted, not a whole lot of WWII vets are alive today, but that begs the question, why not retcon him into a Vietnam War vet?).
   • Charlotte is portrayed as a politician rather than a businesswoman.
   • Most infamously, Betty is now a single lesbian, while Howard is outright removed.
     • This creates a plot hole as while the twins bare very little physical resemblance to Howard in neither the original or new series, they still have a resemblance to the "lesbian" Betty, despite the fact that lesbian couples cannot have biological children, and this also implies DeVille is now Betty's maiden name rather than Howard's.
2. The animation while good, can sometimes be very dark, dreary and outdated looking, comparable to a Nintendo GameCube video game.
3. The new cast for the adults is mediocre.

Trivia

• The show is most infamous for spawning the X (then Twitter) troll "Buttercups1121" (real name Mark Richards), who often used the show in his rants until he got arrested.
