We're Lalaloopsy is an animated children's television series co-produced by MGA Entertainment and Splash Entertainment for Netflix. The series is based on the Lalaloopsy dolls from MGA Entertainment, and is a revival of the children’s animated television series Lalaloopsy on Nickelodeon. It debuted on Netflix on January 10, 2017.

Why It Rocks

  1. The idea of having a spin-off from the original Lalaloopsy show is well done.
  2. The new animation from Splash Entertainment is just as good and colorful (if not better) as the animation from Lalaloopsy.
  3. The new voice acting from Kazumi Evans, Mariee Devereux, Jocelyne Loewen, Sabrina Pitre, Diana Kaarina, Maryke Hendrikse and others was just as good as the voice acting in the original series.
  4. The new theme song, as well as the other songs are decent.
  5. Storm E. Sky, Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Spot Splatter Splash, and the other characters (except Jewel Sparkles) are just as likable as they were in the original series.
  6. There are a few good episodes such as:
    • Storm E Sky's Ahead (a decent way to start the series)
    • Jewel Bakes a Cake
    • Crumbs' Perfect Spoon
  7. Similar to Thomas & Friends, the plot isn't a stand-alone one for each episode and there is continuity between them.

Bad Qualities

  1. While this spin-off is good, it has a few flaws:
    • Some of the characters were flanderized/out-of-character in some episodes:
      • Jewel Sparkles went from a kind and helpful princess into an annoying, spoiled, bratty, mary-sue who acts like she has control over her friends. One example is in the episode "Calm Before The Storm E.", she wanted to ban Storm E's music all because she missed Spot's art show. Thankfully, she redeemed herself in the final episode "Storm E. Sky's Arrive".
      • Sunny Side Up and Berry Jars 'N' Jam were completley out of character in "Berry Big Problem", as they went from twin sisters who loved and cared about each other into twin sisters who quarreled through almost the entire episode. Thankfully, they redeemed themselves at the end of the episode.
    • Some of the characters from the original series such as Bea Spells-A-Lot, Peanut Big Top, Tippy Tumblelina, Pillow Featherbed, and others were removed for no reason at all.
    • While the new voice actors are good, none of the voice actors from the original series (Hayley Stone, Selia Sangra, Tate McRae, etc.) reprise their roles.
    • The animation, while good and colorful, can look cheap at times.
    • While Kazumi Evans did a good job at voicing Jewel, her voice acting can be annoying, even when she screams.
  2. While there are a few good episodes, there are also a few bad episodes such as:
    • Jewel Saves Spot
    • Calm Before The Storm E.
    • Berry Big Problem
