"What a Day!!" (French: "Dure Journée !!") is the first episode from season two of Zig & Sharko and the seventy-ninth episode overall. It was written by Hugo Gittard and storyboarded by Andrès Fernandez.

Plot

In this episode, Marina is moving in on the beach! Zig is happy ... but his prey did not come alone: Sharko and all the underwater fauna accompany him! Zig and Bernie fall back into the jungle. But they have not said their last word...

Good Qualities

  1. The main characters are once again well introduced and despite not being the first episode of the series, it somehow introduce the characters in an even better way than "Fishy Story", especially for Zig and Sharko themself since they doesn't act the same in this season and the other ones that would follow, despite that Zig motive being still to eat Marina.
  2. The way Sharko stop Zig from eating Marina is very funny and great slapstick, even when compared to how he beat him up in the previous season.
  3. Amazing animation for a first episode of a season, especially that this season introduce a new art style, and it can easily be considered to be impressive.
  4. Speaking about funny scenes, there's a lot of them, such as when Sharko do exercices such as push ups before playing tennis, or when Zig try to get away from Sharko when the tennis ball got lost next to him and Bernie.
  5. It also introduce the new characters very well, such as Aldo, who would become a recurring character in the season 2, unfortunately he isn't seen as much in season 3-4.
  6. Zig plans are very fun and entairtaining as usual, but here it is even better than most of his plans in season 1.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. Sharko was a bit unlikable when he did beat up Zig and Bernie when the tennis ball was lost next to them.

Trivia

  • This is the first episode to be entirely animated with flash instead of redising digital ink-and-paint animation, with that all the characters get a new design.
  • Introduce Aldo, a human who became Zig and Bernie's roommate.
  • The countdown sound from Super Mario Kart can be heard when Sharko is about to chase Zig, Marina, and Bernie.
