Summary

Petunia’s obsessive-compulsive disorder requires a visit from plumber Lumpy! Can Petunia clean up the mess that Lumpy made?

Why The Pipes Couldn't Be Clean

  1. To address the elephant in the room: This episode is very gross, and yes, it's a very gross Petunia torture episode since she has OCD.
  2. Lumpy is a very unlikable character. In fact, he acts much more stupid than the previous episode, as he continuously messes up everything in the bathroom and making Petunia have OCD.
  3. Petunia's deep breath is predictable, and yes, very annoying to listen to due to Petunia suffering from OCD. And keep in mind, whenever Petunia gets scared, she has to take a deep breath to calm down.
  4. In one scene, when Lumpy starts greeting Petunia, he just walks inside without wiping his dirty shoes and causing Petunia to have OCD. Gross, right?
  5. In another scene, Petunia literally drinks shampoo while she's washing herself in the bathroom. In real life, drinking shampoo is VERY dangerous, and yes, it could make people very sick, or maybe even die.
  6. Several animation errors here and there, and it's very common in terms of TV show standards.
  7. There are some extremely violent and gruesome scenes/deaths in this episode that come off as disturbing and gut-wrenching to watch:
    • In one scene, where Petunia accidentally inhales a glove and her mouth and nearly chokes to death, Lumpy tries to help. After failing, he instead puts his hand inside the mouth to get out the gloves out of her mouth, not before Petunia yells in fear, and it's annoying to hear.
    • Another scene shows Lumpy trying to fix the water from the pipe inside Disco Bear's bathroom. Turns out, Disco Bear was accidentally stabbed by Lumpy and making Lumpy get thrown away by water, not before the water heater crushes and burns him, resulting in his death. When Petunia heads downstairs to the basement, there's the absolute creepiest image ever created in Happy Tree Friends history: Lumpy's horrifyingly burnt corpse, and it's extremely terrifying, gruesome, and disgusting to look at in detail, to the point where it could potentially give younger viewers nightmares!
    • The most brutal and goriest death in the entire series is this scene: After Petunia looks at Lumpy's disgusting corpse, she panics and rushes to the bathroom to clean herself. In fact, she tries everything to clean her dirty fur, but it doesn't work due to the water steam being broken. So, the only way for Petunia to solve the problem is by peeling herself with a potato peeler. She proceeds to peel it until there's no skin left on her body and nothing else but skin and bones, and then, she's dead because of this.
  8. To make things even worse, this episode got banned from YouTube due to suicide-related topics, and due to how horrible this episode is, this episode is unavailable to watch.
    • Fortunately, you can watch the reuploaded iteration of the episode on YouTube, but it's still painful to watch.

Clean Qualities

  1. Petunia is the only likable character.
  2. The first half of the episode is decent, despite the last few minutes being absolutely terrible.
  3. Despite the large amount of errors, the animation is still good.

Reception

Due to positive reception of the episode (7.7/10), this episode got negative reception due to Lumpy's stupid behavior, and the ending is absolutely disturbing. It is so bad that YouTube has been removing this video due to resemblance to suicidal and violent content that could be violating the community guidelines based on YouTube's rules.
