Why It's An Showdown

  1. The theme song is amazingly awesome, composed by Kevin Manthei.
  2. Great voice acting, by Tara Strong, Grey DeLisle, Tom Kenny, Jeff Bennett, Danny Cooksey, Wayne Knight, Maurice LaMarche, Jason Marsden, Jennifer Hale and Greg Baldwin.
  3. The animation is fluid and detailed, thanks to Dong Yang Animation Co, LTD, Digital eMation, Koko Entreprises and Lotto Animation.
  4. The character designs looks great and unique.
  5. The Shen-Gong-Wu artifacts are interesting and often have creative powers.
  6. The Xiaolin Showdown battles are pretty satisfying and cool to look at.
  7. Great storylines, with some good or decent episodes and some funny moments.
  8. Lots of likable and memorable characters such as Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo, Clay, Dojo, Master Fung, Dojo, Jack Spicer, etc.
  9. Chase Young and Wuyu are very threatening villains.
  10. The backstories are really interesting.
  11. It spawned a tie-in video game in 2006 which is equally nice.

Bad Qualities

  1. It uses some toilet humor.
  2. Omi's massive ego gets annoying at times.
  3. The whole journey in "Time After Time" felt pointless.
  4. The show uses some typical fantasy clichés.

Trivia

  • During the series, it was spawned into merchandise such as toys and video games (the latter came out in November 2006, after the series had ended).
  • A sequel to this series called Xiaolin Chronicles is aired on Disney XD from 2013 to 2014 while the last six episodes are streaming on Netflix.
