Young & Fried is the third episode in season 4 of Young & Hungry. It aired on June 15, 2016.
Plot
Gabi pretends to have a job working for famous chef Giada de Laurentiis in an attempt to prove to Josh that she has her life under control. Meanwhile, Josh throws Yolanda a 50th birthday party and uses the event as an excuse to check up on Gabi.
Why It Sucks
- The episode is just a torture Gabi episode.
- Elliot is very unlikable as he rats Gabi out and making fun of her for working at a diner, which working at a diner IS NOT A BAD THING. And he also makes an infamous and unfunny joke when Gabi is doing something very dangerous, he says “Oh my gosh, Gabi! That looks dangerous. Let me get my camera” and yes you guessed it, that laugh track goes off.
- Josh humiliates Gabi for lying to him but he lied to her as well.
- The writers make Giada de Laurentiis look like a terrible person, She pepper sprays Gabi for getting to close to her but yet she comes to the restaurant she works and when Gabi offer her a sandwich she was told about.
- Just because Gabi is being tortured does not mean that she’s likable: She tries her hardest to make her look good so she can prove Josh wrong, So she lies to say that she’s working for a famous chef.
- Gabi and Josh just threw Yolanda’s party just so they can catch each other lying, that is not a nice thing to do.
- The writing is very weak in this episode and very unfunny.
- The humor is forced even more in this episode.
- God Awful Ending: Gabi didn't even get close to Giada but yes she peppers sprayed her for literally no reason because GIADA GOT CLOSE GABI! So literally Giada has no rights to pepper spray Gabi for no reason. And Gabi was giving her the sandwich that she wanted to try.
Redeeming Qualities
- Sofia and Yolanda is likable in this episode.
- Gabi and Josh surprises Yolanda with her daughter who she hasn’t seen in a long time, which is very nice thing to do.
