Why A Star Is Born Forever
- As a remake of an original film, this film is notably portrayed interestingly, is excellent, and feels unique; it tells a beautiful story of a country musician who falls in love with a singer, and their relationship portrayed in the film is heartwarming and emotional.
- In fact, the film is superior to the original film, let alone both previous remakes and one of the way best instances of a remake on an original film that upgrades things to a whole new level and makes things even better.
- Everyone gives an incredible acting performance, even Gaga for her first film in acting; it also helps that their performances in scenes feel emotional and provide an excellent and happy vibe.
- It has incredible set designs and backgrounds, especially for the concert sets and props. The film's performances are also excellent due to the audible vocals and instruments as they play and perform; moreover, it makes you feel like you're watching a live performance and a movie simultaneously where this has movie aspects, but it also contains live performances, which is a very unique thing this film does: combine live performances with movie aspects and combine them into one.
- It's amazing to see Bradley Cooper sing and play guitar for the first time, and he does exceptionally well at it. Not only that, but he is also an incredible singer and guitarist; furthermore, his vocals are great and show that he can play guitar like a musician.
- It also helps that this is his first film as a director, and he does it well, especially since he helped to make this film soulful and heartwarming.
- It has some of the most beautiful cinematography from Academy Award-winning cinematographer Matthew Libatique. This makes the scenes and live performances awesome, making it feel like one shot was needed. It also has gorgeous color formatting, which makes things helpful and unique to look at. This gives the camera momentum, an excellent lens, and top-notch color grading.
- The chemistry between Cooper and Gaga is fantastic, as the scenes that show them are over-the-top heartwarming; also, when they sing "Shallow" together, it shows that even more.
- Beautiful soundtrack as it features incredible, memorable, and heartwarming songs, such as "Always Remember Us This Way", "Maybe It's Time", "I'll Never Love Again", and most famously, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning song, "Shallow"; moreover, the soundtrack features top-notch vocal performances, especially Lady Gaga's, as her voice is beautiful.
- "Shallow" is a beautiful and heartwarming song about communication. It features an acoustic guitar instrumental and incredible vocals from Cooper and Gaga. In fact, both Cooper and Gaga give each other their moment to shine on the song.
- "Always Remember Us This Way" is such a heartwarming song. Gaga's vocals are gorgeous, and the song has a sad piano melody; it is so emotional that you can't help but feel that way.
- Top-notch writing that makes the story extremely meaningful, especially considering its plot, which is so heartwarming, even watching it.
- The extended cut is great because it adds twelve minutes of footage and extra songs. It also fixes the opening and does not make it feel rather rushed, even though it's still good.
- The film handles its subject matters very well and sends a good message, being about dealing with mental health issues and suicide. It also has a great message on many things, such as that music and art are essential, self-acceptance (accepting who you are), being true to yourself, seeking help, and how dangerous drug abuse and alcohol obviously are.
The Only Bad Quality
- As aforementioned, while the opening is good, it feels rushed; however, the extended cut fixes this.
