Do people seriously not learn from Dynostopia?!

Alien Hunt 3D was a "port" of an Android game made by Tonye Amienyo and released on Steam on July 31, 2018. The game was removed from Steam on August 9 of that same year, after allegations surfaced of the game possibly containing a Trojan horse that mined computers for cryptocurrency, on top of the game being unbootable.

Why It Was a Bad Alien Hunt

  1. The game didn't even work.  Upon launching the game, the game would open a DOS window before crashing. Not only that, but the "game" also allegedly contained a cryptominer Trojan horse called Tiggre!rfn. Thankfully, the malware was as broken as the game was. Sound familiar?
    • The fact that this game and Abstractism, another delisted game that contained crypto-miner malware, were able to get onto Steam before being taken down shows how awful the quality control is.
  2. Even if the game did work, it has horrendous graphics and models that make The Town with No Name look like GTA IV in comparison.
  3. The game can sometimes glitch out and start flashing random colors, which is not only eye-bleeding but also poses a hazard to players with photosensitive epilepsy.
  4. The player character moves very slowly.
  5. Every time you shoot your gun, you will lose health, which does not make any sense. Isn't that like making a football/soccer video game where your ankle breaks every time you kick the ball?
  6. The music and sound effects are so unappealing that you might as well not realize that they were playing most of the time.
  7. The player is so close to the camera that the game induces motion sickness because of this.
