Angry Birds Epic is a RPG based video game that was released in 2014. The game was soft launched on March 17 in Canada, Australia, & New Zealand. And was released worldwide on June 12.

Why It’s Epic

1. The boss battles in this game are very amazing, with the best one being WizPig.
2. The rainbow items are very useful, especially for very hard boss fights.
3. The game had a PvP Arena, where you can battle other players by trying to knock their banner down. Unfortunately, it was removed.
4. The game also had events, which are a very fun addition to the game, since it introduced new bosses, new battles, etc. Unfortunately, it was removed as well.
5. Very well designed graphics that are better than Angry Birds Go's graphics. Since the game is more animated.
6. The potions are really useful, for example: The Mighty Eagle can destroy all the enemies that are on the battleboard just like the first game, which is so useful, even for hard boss battles!
7. At the end of the game, The Birds, Prince Porky, & King Pig team up to defeat Wizpig (not to be confused with the one from Diddy Kong Racing), which is very rare, since they never did that in the other games or Angry Birds Toons.
8. The Chronicle Cave is a decent way to end the game, because at the end of each cave, you fight a boss that is blocking the way to the next cave which is interesting.
9. The events also give you special hats for the birds, which are more powerful than the original hat, since its a upgraded version of it.
10. On levels you didn't complete, you actually have the ability to farm Snoutlings & XP, which is kinda useful, especially when your looking forward to level up to a very high level.
11. One of the events includes Sonic, making a Sonic & Angry Birds crossover, which is nice.
    • Adding to that, Red, Chuck, & Bomb even appeared in Sonic Dash as playable characters.

Bad Qualities

1. Some of the boss fights are very hard, to the point of becoming almost impossible to beat.
2. Prince Porky's dodge. He used to dodge every attack that deals damage less than 2 times. Also, if one of your birds that had attacks that deal damage more than one time, the fight is already lost and you will have to replay it again. Thankfully, it is now fixed, and it does deal a little damage.
3. The Arena & Events, which were a fun addition to the game, were removed for unknown reasons. To make matters worse: those were the only things that kept the game alive.
4. The designs for the birds, while very good, are weird, with Matilda's being the weirdest.
5. Unfortunately, the game is no longer available as of 2019, meaning you can only previously download the game on iOS and Android if you got it before 2019, luckily, the new CEO announced that some of the older Angry Birds games are coming back, so hopefully, this one will come back soon.
6. Some of the Pigs crying or laughing constantly (such as Wizpig, Prince Porky, King Pig, etc.) can get annoying pretty quickly.

Reception

The game received mixed to positive reception from reviewers and fans alike.

Trivia

The Sword Spirit can be seen in the Nesting Barrows, as a bird antagonist.
