Angry Birds Friends is a PVP Slingshot Puzzle Game based on Angry Birds. It is a Facebook version of the original Angry Birds. It was released on February 13, 2012.

Why It Rocks

1. The game has more features than the original Angry Birds, such as a PVP Arena, & Facebook Friends you can play with.
2. Great soundtrack, most notably the main theme, since its very catchy.
3. Decent graphics, for 2012 standards.
4. The tournaments are really great, like the Rock in Rio tournament, & the October 2015 Halloween event.
5. It even had a crossover with The Surfside in the Surfside tournament, which is also a good tournament.
6. Good atmosphere when playing levels, even for a game with Facebook Friends.
7. The character designs are cool, and manage to capture the designs of the other Angry Birds games.
8. Speaking of design, the Level Designs in the game are huge, large-scaled and amazing as they provide a newer and greater challenge to experts of Angry Birds, similar to the Bonus Levels from Angry Birds Trilogy.
9. The remastered version of the main theme of AB Friends is very catchy, & remains the same charm as the original theme.
10. It is one of the Angry Birds games from the Golden Age that has successfully survived from being removed.

Bad Qualities

1. The redesigns for the characters in 2017 are mediocre, & fail to capture the same charm as the Toons designs.
2. The 2017 theme isn't that catchy, & lacks the same charm as the original theme. Luckily, it was removed in 2019.
3. The level designs from newer tournaments aren't as good as the older tournaments.

Reception

The game received positive reception from fans & reviewers of the Angry Birds franchise. It has a 4.2/5 stars on the Google Play Store.

Trivia

• Angry Birds Rio makes a cameo in the game as a event for the 2015 Rio tournament.
• The game had a crossover with the Smurfs in the Smurfs tournament.
• The game was originally named "Angry Birds Facebook".
• The game used to have story levels which were Poached Eggs, Mighty Hoax, Surf & Turf, Pigini Beach, Green Day (removed December 2012) and Pig Tales on the Facebook version. They were sadly removed in January 2020.
