Angry Birds Seasons is a puzzle video game developed and published by Rovio Entertainment, the game is the second installment in the Angry Birds franchise and is the first and only game to be holiday themed, this game, alongside the original game & Angry Birds Rio are included in the collection, Angry Birds Trilogy.

Why It's Seasonal

  1. So many great & memorable holiday themed episodes, such as "Trick or Treat" (Halloween), "Season's Greedings" (Christmas), "Go Green, Get Lucky" (St. Patrick's Day), "Piglantis", "Ham Dunk", and many more.
  2. The graphics are great, like the original game, with the Halloween levels having a pretty cool aesthetic.
  3. The Pigs and Birds keep their old pre-Chrome designs from 2009-2011, which was quite rare.
  4. The game has awesome songs, like On Finn Ice, but the best has to be the Summer Pignic one, as it’s a pretty cool remix of the original theme.
  5. The game even managed to have calm & peace music, making this a peaceful Angry Birds game.
  6. The Power-up test site is a really cool addition to the game, as it makes using power-ups easier for new players.
  7. Stella (the pink bird), Tony (the light blue bird) & Bubbles (the orange bird) make their debut.
  8. Amazing controls, which are on par with Angry Birds Go!
  9. Most of the levels are decent.
  10. It had some new power-ups, like the Mighty Dragon (Only in Year of the Dragon), Phoming Bird, The Mighty Spalding Ball (in Ham Dunk), Etc.
  11. It even had a crossover with NBA, in the season Ham Dunk, along with All-Stars, & The Finals.
  12. The backgrounds for the game are good.
  13. The game isn’t afraid to get a bit serious with the festive date's vibe, as the Halloween levels are known to be the scariest levels in an Angry Birds game.

Seasonal Rot Qualities

  1. Unfortunately, after late 2015, Rovio locked all the seasons from Trick or Treat to South Hamerica, meaning the only way to get these seasons is to play levels to get coins.
  2. Seasonal Rot: Like the Classic game, the game has gone downhill over the years, because its pay to win.
  3. Some levels can be impossible to beat, thus making the game unfair somehow. An example is the infamous 3-Star Bonus in Trick Or Treat.
  4. Unfortunately, the game is no longer available as of 2019, meaning you can only download it in your purchases if you got it before 2019. Luckily, the new CEO announced that some of the older Angry Birds games are coming back, including this one.
  5. The newer holiday season chapters weren't really interesting, such as "Marie Hamrionette", "Summer Camp", "Piggywood Studios", "Hammier Things", and "Ragnahog" (a poor way to end 2016, as well as the game itself).

Reception

The game received positive reception from fans and reviewers.

Trivia

  • The game had a crossover with NBA in the season called Ham Dunk. The game made a parody of Hollywood Studios called Piggywood Studios, as seen in the episode with the same name and a parody of Stranger Things called Hammier Things.
  • The game was originally called "Angry Birds Halloween" when the game first came out. The name was later changed to "Angry Birds Seasons" when new chapters came out.
