Bambino Rally 3 (known as Maluch Racer III in Poland) is a racing video game developed by Artifex Mundi and published by Play Publishing on March 1, 2010 for Microsoft Windows only in Poland. Seven years later, it was released worldwide via Steam. It is the third, and so far, the latest installment in the Maluch Racer franchise.

Why It Sucks

  1. Atrocious graphics that look like a Nintendo 64 game or an early Dreamcast game. The textures and models are horribly low quality. Even for the third installment in the Maluch Racer series, the graphics still won't look good at all, as the developers of Play Publishing's games probably like to screw up the graphics to make them bad.
  2. The music, while good, doesn't fit the game's theme when it plays a heavy metal theme in some levels at all, much like Yandere Simulator.
  3. The enemy AI is pathetic, and it's on par with Trucker and Tractor Racing Simulation's AI. The enemies always drive the exact same way, they don't care that you can sometimes ran into them or not, and they keep hitting the walls or themselves, which is also pretty weird, like if they actually feel asleep during the races, or they actually have a broken antenna in themselves.
  4. The tracks are badly designed. Because of this, if you will drive fast enough, you can actually get out of the main stage, like if someone actually forgot to make a bigger barrier to not get out of the race.
  5. God-awful physics. They are on the exact same level as Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, but worse. The cars literally stick to the barriers, walls, or something else easily, like if they actually had a magnet under them. Also, if you will hit something after driving very fast, your car with behave like it nearly flipped, despite it didn't even move at all to just flip.
  6. Clumsy controls. The cars usually respond lately, like if the controls were unresponsive. The cars are start in an unrealistic way, and when they turn a little, they actually drift, even though you did not press any buttons at all that drift. Because of this, the controls are like you actually control a box rather than a car.
  7. While not recycled, the sound effects are weak and they are at low quality if they are trying their best to be good, which fails.
  8. Out of all Maluch Racer games, this one is the most broken and buggy Maluch Racer game. It crashes many times during the loading screens, and it sometimes refuses to boot up. Not to mention, sometimes it can even crash the operating system to show the Blue Screen of Death after quitting the game, similar to Sonic's Schoolhouse. And it is not the fault of your computer or the system, but one of the game's codes is screwed up to the point it crashes the operating system when you are trying to quit the game sometimes. Also, you can even drive off the map and fall from it.
  9. One of the tracks rips-off Rockport City from Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. As mentioned before, the music is good, despite the heavy metal music does not fit the game's theme.
  2. Compared to it's prequel, the sound effects were not recycled from the first Maluch Racer game, despite being weak.
  3. Great main menu, which contains great options. Also, this is the only game in the Maluch Racer series where you can change the driving control.

Reception

Bambino Rally 3 received generally unfavourable reviews. Users from Gamepressure.com (the English version of GRYOnline.pl) gave it an average score of 4.7 out of 10[1]. Despite the generally unfavourable reception, the game received mixed reviews on Steam. It received a 68% from users, based on 16 reviews.
