The success of the Fast and Furious movie franchise has spawned various media utilising the franchise, with one of them being video games. Since 2004, various tie-in games were released for consoles and mobile phones (both cell phones and smartphones), with games from both markets receiving mixed to positive reviews. But in the console market, the game franchise took a nosedive after the release of Fast & Furious: Showdown and was brought up again with the release of Crossroads.
