City Of Clipsville is the second half of the eighth episode in the fifth season of the Original Powerpuff Girls.

Plot

A clip show episode of the past four seasons, which features some clips that actually did not happen and some that did in past episodes.

Why It Intentionally Sucks

  1. To get the elephant of the room, it's your average, boring clipshow episode where the girls look back at old times. Even if it has continuity, it's still boring and serves as filler. And they don't save the world.
    • Speaking of which, one of the memories is from the infamous episode "Cover Up" when Blossom and Bubbles found Buttercup getting attached to her blanket, which is definitely a red flag.
  2. Some toilet humor, such as when baby Blossom farted on her diaper and puked on the floor.
  3. All the babies crying in Townsville can come off as annoying rather than emotional.
  4. That extremely insulting teenage version of the girls. Speaking of which, the teenage versions basically look like Bratz dolls and they're just your average teenage stereotypes who have an addiction to the mall - same thing with the Rowdyruff Boys.
    • And there is a scrapped moment where they twerk!
  5. Plot Hole: How could you have an algebra test in an English class?
  6. Bad things happen all around in the mall and the teenage Powerpuff Girls don't even pay attention nor do they care and just talk to the boys.
  7. That infamous moment where the Professor stares at the girls for 10-15 seconds.
    • There's another infamous moment where the Mayor does the same thing.
  8. Mojo Jojo being Ms Bellum in disguise at the wedding was cliche and predictable, plus a missed opportunity when we could have seen her face.
  9. The Mayor once again still has a pickle obsession to the point of remembering when the Professor gave him a giant pickle, although Buttercup told him "it never happened".
  10. The ending was nothing special with the girls remembering how they remembered and when all the people came in. Then, it shows a generic white font of the show being filmed in front on a live studio audience, along with a stock laugh track.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. At least it still has a bit of continuity from the first four seasons, despite serving as filler and having an infamous episode as mentioned above.
  2. The girls and the Professor are still tolerable characters.
  3. To be fair, its sole purpose was to make fun of clip shows, but was executed poorly.
