"Country Clubbed" is the sixteenth episode in the ninth season of The Fairly OddParents.

Plot

After the Buxaplenty family invites the Turner Family to the "Fancy Shmancy Country Club", Timmy doesn't blend in, so he wishes he was a celebrity. Meanwhile, Wanda and Sparky's brains get switched. While at the country club, Timmy discovers that the Buxaplenty family has just invited the Turners to their country club to be embarrassed after he hits them with a limousine and he needs to figure out a way to get back at those snobs.

Why It's Wasn't So Fancy

  1. This episode starts off pretty bad, what with Cosmo bringing home some stupid brain switching machine from Fairy World's "Swap Meat" and using it to switch Wanda's brain into Sparky's body and vice-versa.
  2. Timmy wishes for Cosmo to place Wanda and Sparky's brains back into their correct bodies, but apparently they can't because their wands don't recognize them. This alone really doesn't make sense because in the previous aforementioned episodes, Timmy had his brain switched with other characters and Cosmo and Wanda were still able to place his brain back in his correct body.
  3. While Remy Buxaplenty returning is a nice one, however, no references to his previous appearances were made, and Juandissimo is not seen or mentioned at all in the episode, indicating that Remy’s entire character has been retooled for no discernible reason. Timmy and Remy also don't seem to remember one another, and it looks like they meet for the first time in this episode.
  4. Remy's parents look absolutely nothing like their original appearances.
  5. The plot itself is very generic at best, as not much conflict is really happening here. Not helping matters is that it's revealed late in the episode that the Buxaplentys only invited the Turners to laugh at their less affluent ways, leading Timmy and Cosmo to predictably exact revenge.
  6. Timmy's parents are even more dumbed down than they already are. Even Wanda is behaving pretty dumb, as she enjoys being in Sparky's body and showing no concern at trying to get her and Sparky's brains back to their correct bodies during the rest of the episode.
  7. The running gags are repetitively unfunny, dumb, and boring as usual.
  8. At times, the episode can feel pretty boring and dull. It can also be summed up in a filler episode.
  9. Why is Timmy's parents eating foods out of the plunger?! You can get sick from this behavior!
  10. A pointless and out-of-nowhere cameo from Mr. Crocker, as he gives a A+ to a person in a tie.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. We fully see Remy's parents for the first (and only) time at least.
