Doug's Christmas Story is the 10th episode of the fourth season of Nickelodeon's Doug.

Plot

When Porkchop "bites" Beebee, the entire town locks him up, and when Doug figure out the truth, he has to tell the entire town before he's locked up forever.

Why It's No Christmas Story

  1. Misleading Title: Despite being a Christmas episode, there's nothing here in this episode that celebrates it.
  2. This episode is a major torture episode for Porkchop as if Ken Scarborough hated him and wanted everyone to know.
  3. Porkchop got sent to jail and was even treated like Hannibal Lector just for "biting" Beebee. First of all, biting people is normal for dogs. Second of all, Porkchop was trying to save her as the reason why he was biting her leg was to drag her away from falling into thick ice.
  4. The entire town is very unlikable, as they got angry with Porkchop and considered him a "killer dog" just because he simply "attacked" Beebee.
    • Even Doug himself was unlikable for yelling at Porkchop after the incident.
  5. Beebee was "injured" and had to wear a cast because Porkchop "bit" her, which shows how much of a wet-blanket she is to not realize that not all dog bites are an injury.
  6. The imaginations have no purpose being in this episode, as it was left in a cliffhanger right after Doug breaks up the altercation and tells his alter-egos that he is on his own.
  7. Even when the citizens of Bluffington finally realizes that Porkchop was saving Beebee, they forgot to apologize to the dog for the misunderstanding.
    • Even worse, Doug never got a chance to apologize.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Porkchop is the only likable character.
  2. Even though Doug was unlikable, he at least found out what really happened and tried to save Porkchop from being incarcerated.
  3. It was nice seeing all of Doug's alter-egos, even if they have no purpose being in this episode.
  4. Great ending: The citizens finally realized that Porkchop was trying to save Beebee, and despite not apologizing for their actions, they dubbed him a hero by them and Doug for rescuing her.
