Family Gay is the eighth episode of the seventh season of Family Guy. It is the one hundred and eighteenth episode, overall.
Why This Episode Deserves to Get Dumped
- Not only this episode is bad, it is very pointless and boring, you can skip this episode and anything important would not be missed.
- The straight camp sounds bland, and dull.
- Lois is unlikable in this episode, although not as bad as in season 8 onwards.
- The animation, while still good, can have some errors.
- It's can be mean-spirited sometimes.
- The beginning plot involving a brain damaged horse is very gross and contains a lot of animal abuse. The disgusting things range from Peter keeping horse sperm in the fridge and causing Stewie to ingest some of it from his cereal to the scene where Peter disposes of the dead horse in a gory fashion by throwing it at Mort Goldman’s pharmacy with his car at high speed.
- It focuses way too much on jokes about homosexuality.
Redeeming Qualities
- Seth Rogen guest starring as Peter under the "Seth Rogen" gene.
- The ending is pretty funny.
- Some of the characters are likable.
- Scott is a likable character.
- Meg is also likable, and even Chris is likable, despite his flanderized state.
- The animation is still good, despite the animation errors.
- The voice acting is still decent.
- A neat little Easter egg from American Dad! can be found through Peter’s voice when he is injected with the gay gene. When he starts talking like a gay man, his voice sounds exactly like Roger Smith’s.
