Fiasco! is the second half of episode 15 and the 29th episode of Season 8 in SpongeBob SquarePants.

Plot

An artist makes a Fiasco filled with messy Krabby Patties, Ketchup, and Mustard so that customers can see it. However, Plankton steals the art just to believe that it is a Krabby Patty.

Why It's a Fiasco!

  1. Unlike "The Googly Artiste" and like "Artist Unknown", it has a decent premise focusing on another art, Fiasco, made by the incidental of the same name.
  2. The opening scene shows a twist that it is actually a commercial for the Krusty Krab, but in a good way compared to "As Seen on TV".
  3. The thinking hat SpongeBob wears is a hilarious scene.
  4. The subplot focusing on Plankton stealing the Fiasco while the Bikini Bottom Police Department has some interisting concepts:
    • Plankton watches a movie about a honeymoon watching the beach at sunset.
    • Plankton conceals himself as a flower while the police officers are searching for him, only to get pollen allergies.
    • Plankton enters the satellite so that he is safe.
  5. After Plankton gets exhausted from getting chased by the police officers, he bursts into SpongeBob's house just to confront Spongebob about stealing the fiasco, but when it turns out that Patrick eats it, because he believes that it is food, causing the police to arrest Plankton (and Squidward) for stealing, which creates a shocking twist.
  6. At the end of the episode, the Incidentals see Patrick with the fiasco while standing behind the x-ray, which everyone is impressed at because SpongeBob has an idea to make fortune.
  7. Plankton's line: "Blasted pollen allergies!"

Bad Qualities

  1. Squidward does not serve any purpose in this episode, except for the scene where he examines the fiasco.
    • He made an idiotic move, he calls the police officers to arrest SpongeBob, Patrick, and Plankton for waking up, even though it is not a crime. People can call the police officer when there is a crime.
    • Fortunately, he and Plankton were arrested by the police officers for making false accusations, as well as Officer John telling them that "You're all under arrest until we figure this out."
  2. Plot Hole:
    • Since when did Plankton and the police officers enter space?
    • Squidward calls the police for waking him up really makes no sense and there is no reason to call them.
  3. The design of the fiasco is ugly to look at.

Trivia

  • There is an idiotic move that the Incidentals believe that Patrick has artistic talents, even though he lacks any of it. In The Googly Artiste, Patrick only made an artistic talent using googly eyes and objects (rocks, Krabby Patties, etc.).
