Plot

Before Phineas and Ferb invent a giant swing tire invention, Buford accidentally shoots Candace by turning into a fly, causing her to fly uncontrollably until she transforms back to normal.

Qualities That Deserve a Flyswatter

  1. This episode is a rehash of Courage the Cowardly Dog's Courage the Fly and The Fairly OddParents' Fly Boy, but without the charm of both episodes have.
  2. Candace is somewhat oblivious that she and Jeremy are going to the Rodeo, but at the end of the episode, it turns out that Rodeo is pronounced as "Ro-Day-O", which is a fancy restaurant.
  3. Candace accidentally turns into a fly because Buford accidentally shoots her using an invention that transforms while finding a part for the giant swing tire.
  4. Phineas and Ferb would have assisted Buford by finding a part instead of doing it by himself because if he did it alone, he would have caused the invention to activate.
  5. One of Doofenshmirtz's traps is a pothole where Perry steps on it, but that one is uncreative and easy considering that the latter has escaped it.
  6. Doofenshmirtz and Perry make an Inator using a painting the former painted, but it is short-lived since Buford pressed the "FLY" button in the transforming invention, causing Phineas and Ferb's invention to land and crush it.
  7. Pointless cameos of a Giant Floating Baby Head, a Praying Mantis, a man who transformed into a fly, and astronauts who ride the space shuttle.
  8. Bad Twist Ending: When Candace dress up as a cowgirl in order to go to the rodeo, Jeremy wears a tuxedo, and it turns out they are going to a restaurant named, Ro-Day-O. Much to Candace's chagrin, she states that the restaurant has the "Dress Like A Cowboy and Get Your Dinner Free Tonight", but the waiter states that it is on Tuesday.

Good Qualities

  1. Everyone, except Candance, is likable in this episode.
  2. Like always the Doofenshmirtz and Perry subplot is good. This also is a rare occasion where they bond together in Danvile Dog Park in order to make an Inator, which explains why Perry escapes easily in one of Doof's traps and becomes unimpressed that Doof's Feed-the-Pigeons-inator is illegal in the park, which is seen in the sign.
  3. Despite being pointless, the cameos are pretty funny.
  4. The song, Fly on the Wall is good and catchy.

Trivia

  • Doofenshmirtz breaks the fourth wall by stating that he and Perry fought each other for 4 years, which is a reference to this episode being the first one produced, as well as the length of the show's run.
