"Freezing Buddies" (French: "Congelés !") is the thirteenth episode from season three of Zig & Sharko and the one hundred and sixty-ninth episode overall. It was written by Rémi Zaarour and storyboarded by Cédric Frémeaux.
Plot
In this episode, After a frantic chase, Zig and Sharko find themselves stuck in the cold room of the boat's kitchens. They will have to put aside their differences and stick together to get out of there...
Why It's A True Friendship
- This episode had a ton of hilarous moments, such as the battle with Zig and Sharko when they use their frozen tears to fight themself, which is very funny.
- Speaking about that fight, it is absolutely entairtaining and the best moment of the episode so far, and it is also epic.
- The plot is quite interesting.
- Zig and Sharko are likable characters as always, and doesn't show their flanderization at all, in fact they even act as a team here, which is great to see especially with season 3 not having a lot of those moments compared to the season 2.
- It show that Zig and Sharko doesn't despise themself completely and truly show that they actually are friends but the reason why Sharko got angry at Zig is because of him constantly try to eat Marina.
- While the ending is mediocre, at least Zig and Sharko got freed up from that place and were free again.
Bad Qualities
- It still count as a torture episode for Zig and Sharko as they are trapped inside a very cold place where they don't know how to get out until Marina did press the button to get out.
- Plot Hole: How does Zig and Sharko don't notice the button to press to open the door? Especially that it is very easy to see it.
- The ending is rather mediocre because it is very cold and because of this, Zig and Sharko doesn't feel well and they can't swim.
- Also, this ending doesn't make any senses because in the beginning of the episode, it was very hot out, but how does in 10 minutes it can change to a cold temperature ?
Trivia
- The background music that is playing when Zig thinks Sharko has frozen to death is a track frequently used in seasons five, six and seven of another Xilam show, Oggy and the Cockroaches.
- Zig and Sharko create giant swords out of their frozen tears similarly to when they created them out of gum in "Bubble-Gum".
- The victory dance that Sharko and Zig make when they sucessfully get out of the freezer is the same one they did in "Buzzing Around" when Bernie catches the fly.
- The yeti from "High on the Mountain Top" makes a cameo.
- Screaming Zig for frozen Sharko like "Rolling, Action!".
