Plot

Monday Qualities
- It is a major downgrade from Saving Arlene, which was an awesome platformer, here it mostly downgraded the graphics, level design and the challenge where it is completely non existent now.
- Downgraded visuals from it's predecessor, while they doesn't look that bad, they are a huge downgrade from those of Saving Arlene, which had nicer visuals due to being more detailled and colorful, and that game came out in 2005, and this sequel came out in 2007/2008.
- Horrible voice acting for Garfield, who is the only talking character in the game, also there's a missed oportunity for giving a voice for the villain of the game.
- Not to mention that the French dub is way worse than in Saving Arlene, since Garfield sound very different and his voice doesn't fit him this time, despite that Saving Arlene had a decent French dub where Garfield sound close to his original French voice actors.
- Outdated platform release: The game was released for the PlayStation 2 in late 2007, whilst the PlayStation 3 had already been out for a while. Was it too much to ask for?
- The unnamed gray cat, which is the villain of the game, is severely flawed and doesn't even had any personality except that he want to stop Garfield from getting his Lasagna.
- Also, as stated before, he doesn't even talk, only launch in the beginning of the game, in which it doesn't help for his development, and while Odie doesn't talk, he at least show more personality than this gray cat.
- Also, the fact that he doesn't talk got so bad that in the final battle with him, when Garfield say to prepare himself to lose, he doesn't even try to stand up like a villain would do.
- Also, another weird thing is that his dog is named, in which the name is Brutus, but he doesn't even get a name, likely because he cannot talk.
- He even feel like a rehash from one of the cats from The Claws gang from Garfield and Friends, in which they actually talk and had more charms.
- It's extremely short, since there are only 10 levels in the whole game, and while it had one more level than in Garfield: Saving Arlene, the game is even shorter than that game because there's so many glitchs that make it so easy to complete quickly.
- The back of the box misspells 'funnier' as 'funier'.
- The game is extremely easy, since it just throws extra lives at you, and the levels themself are so easy that when you die it is mostly because of bad luck or because of the fact that you cannot concentrate on the game anymore because you had enough.
- Bad camera that often get placed in bad places, and this will mostly cause cheap deaths, this is also the same problem from the predecessor, Garfield: Saving Arlene but at least that game was still pretty decent.
- The game over screen is extremely lazy. It's just a black background with white text saying 'Game Over', complete with an image of Garfield, also making it even more lazier is that it was copied from Saving Arlene.
- Bad multiplayer mode. You can only play as Garfield and the antagonist of the game, with several variants of Garfield? Why not put in Odie, Nermal, or even Arlene?
- Repetitive gameplay, even though it still isn't as bad and repetitive as the 2004 game.
- One of the sections in the game rips off the Crash Bandicoot games, in which it is the one where you get chased by something.
- There is only one boss in the entire game (yes, there is the cat enemy who appears several times in the game, but he doesn't count as a boss. If you're wondering, his fights are just button mashing segments), and the boss is extremely easy, just like the rest of the game.
- There's also this miniboss dog in a Karate Kid outfit where other than just button mashing like the main antagonist, he serves no purpose other than being a nuisance and wastes your time. seriously, you can take him out of the game and nothing would change in the slightest.
- The story is very lacking, and it's complete with a dumb ending.
- Also, the story is completely dumb, since due to how flawed the grey cat enemy is, you could have taken him out the game, having only Brutus as an antagonist and almost nothing would change, since while he present in the story of the game, he do almost nothing to stop Garfield, but if he was cut from the game, it would have probably been shorter than the previous game.
- The ending also is very poor and a torture ending for Garfield, since the keys is in Odie house, and when Garfield ask Odie where it is, he doesn't show him, which feel like the game ended on a sour note.
- You get nothing after completing the game, not even some mini games, even it's predecessor had bonus such as costumes, which wasn't really useful but at least it offer something, this game howewer there's absolutely nothing to unlock.
- Misleading Title: While Garfield and Odie do travel to exotic locations, it's not much of a world tour if they only travel to three parts of the world. Even Bart vs. the World had more places to travel when compared together.
- The game was printed on a CD in 2007. Which show signs of laziness.
Lasagna Qualities
- The game has a very good soundtrack. Pretty sure you will just keep playing because of this.
- The reasons why it is so good is that it is quite catchy and fun to listen to, and had lot of styles of musics, such as being epic, or being long enough to not feel repetitive at all, and
- There's a nice little Easter egg cameo where Arlene is seen on the TV as a news anchor.
- While the visual are downgraded, the graphics are still very good and are faithful to the comics book and the animated serie, the characters models are also still good such as the main duo of Garfield and Odie.
- Some new abilities that Saving Arlene lacked, such as moving with Odie and some new power ups such as the one where you can float, though it is a rehash of the cheese cake from that game.
- The gray cat, while he is a flawed character, had a pretty cool design and could have been a better villain if he did speak.
- The controls are still pretty good, as they are tight and responsive, much like the controls in Saving Arlene.
Reception
Unlike it's predecessor, this game received negative reviews by critics and mixed reviews by gamers, most youtubers criticized the game for being a reskin of Saving Arlene but having the elements being downgraded and it was also criticized for it's easy difficulty, it got a score of 2.5/10 on IGN.
Trivia
- It is the last Garfield game released on the PS2.
