Gaturro: The Movie is a Argentine-Mexican-Indian 2010 computer-animated comedy film, based on the Gaturro comic strips by Nik.

Plot

Gaturro, an anthropomorphic cat, tries multiple attempts to win the affection of Agatha, the most unpleasant cat in Gaturro's neigborhood, who falls in love with an aristocratic cat called Max. But when Gaturro accidentally becomes famous, he and a mouse called Rat Pitt devise a plan to prevent Agatha marrying Max.

Why It Sucks

  1. Cheap (this will be explained later) and lazy animation which looks unfinished. It looks more like an PlayStation 2, Gamecube, or even a Dreamcast game cutscene in the early 2000s.
    • One of the main reasons about the cheapness of animation was due to the fact that paying for the main Argentine animators is quite expensive, the majority of the animation was outsourced to India where the production of computer-animated features is a lot cheaper than it is on Argentina.
    • Even the beta trailer and the animation tests of the movie had far superior animation and graphics.
  2. Unlikeable and stupid characters:
    1. Gaturro is the typical character who has to do everything to prove his worth to the person he loves most.
    2. Agatha is a stereotypical character who claims to love the rich villain, but in the end stays with the protagonist.
  3. Cliché and generic story
  4. Comic book designs don't translate well to 3D, resulting in visuals that range from strange to just plain lazy.
  5. Unexplained plot holes

Redeeming Qualities

  1. At least the character designs do resemble the original character designs from the comic.
