Synopsis

Beast Boy has been pranking Starfire, Cyborg, Raven, and Robin a lot, so the Titans decide to give Beast Boy a taste of his own medicine and turn him into a fake "ghost"!

Why It Is Not A Ghost Boy

  1. Beast Boy is highly unlikable for the majority of the episode, details will be explained below.
  2. The beginning establishes that Beast Boy is playing “pranks” on the Titans but his “pranks” are not pranks, it comes off more as Beast Boy purposefully trying to scare them or disgust them. They should not even be called pranks, here's his actions throughout the beginning:
    • Jumping out of Robin’s closet in the form of a dinosaur, roaring at him.
    • Hiding in Raven’s chip bag in the form of cockroach.
    • Vomiting in Cyborg‘s cereal in the form of an owl without him looking.
  3. The Titans had it with Beast Boy’s scams (they're not pranks) and tell him off, instead of stopping, he goes to find Starfire, making him unlikable.
  4. He finds Starfire and plans to scare her in the form of gorilla until he catches her squishing a mosquito. He then pretends to be the mosquito she just squished.
  5. She thinks he’s a ghost and Beast Boy goes along with it, he shakes off Starfire’s suspicions and takes advantage of her ignorance by making her do his chores, such as doing his laundry and washing the dishes. This makes Starfire feel bad. Beast Boy is an awful friend!
  6. The vomit and dirty laundry is disgusting.
  7. To give Beast Boy a taste of his own medicine, Raven puts a temporary ghost spell on him and the other Titans pretend he’s dead.
  8. Beast Boy then becomes suicidal and tries to jump into a volcano and it’s uncomfortable to watch.
  9. Bad Ending: Beast Boy was only trying to jump into a volcano to make the Titans laugh, which is sick because suicide is never funny. All the Titans die trying to save him and they just stay as ghosts and the episode just ends.
  10. Overall, this episode is one of the main reasons why this is gets a lot of hate from audiences.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. At least Beast Boy got his comeuppance at the end for how he treated Starfire and the other Titans.
  2. The other Titans are likable as they actually tried to stop Beast Boy from jumping on a volcano.
