"Haunted House" is the first half of the third episode in the second season of The Ren & Stimpy Show.

Plot

A dull ghost tries to scare Ren and Stimpy when they enter a haunted house, but the ghost's plans to scare Ren and Stimpy seem to fail.

Lots of funny moments, such as Stimpy shoving a log into a dull ghost's mouth, mistaking he knight costume as a wood-burning stove, said ghost falling into the inside of a knight costume and him putting a match inside, along with Ren and Stimpy mistaking the dull ghost for a slice of bread, putting marmalade, peanut butter and fish egg on it and Stimpy almost eating it. Then, a yak punches the "sandwich" on the fridge. Plus, so much more!
Some emotional moments as well, such as the dull ghost calling himself a failure when all of his plans to scare Ren and Stimpy kept getting foiled to the point where he was about to hit his face with a hammer.
Ren kicking Stimpy out of the bedroom is kind of justified, due to Stimpy having a smelly and hairy back.
The "haunted" house Ren and Stimpy enter looks pretty decent, along with the dull ghost.
The dull ghost's plans to scare Ren and Stimpy are pretty clever, especially the last one where he puts on a mask and grabs a chainsaw.
Decent ending: Although the dull ghost drinking a toxic potion and seeing him cough and almost die was rather dark, at least we see the ghost turn into an African-American man named Rudolph the Jazzman and he becomes happy that he's alive, and it ends with him driving a big red car and Ren and Stimpy confusingly waving goodbye.

Although Ren and Stimpy foiling all of the dull ghost's plans was well done and hilarious here, watching the ghost kill himself by drinking a bottle of poison and seeing him dead was rather dark.
Ren kicking Stimpy out just for having a smelly & hairy back was a bit mean-spirited, when he could have just asked him to take a shower.

This is the first 11-minute episode in production order to use digital ink & paint, whilst the episode "Sven Höek" was the first episode overall to use this animation.
The bloody head fairy scene was cut from the DVD release. The reason for this was that John K. was unhappy with the scene, as the original idea for the bloody head fairy (George Liquor in a tu-tu) was rejected by Nickelodeon and replaced with a parody of Doug Funnie from the show Doug. This scene was also cut in the UK due to "bloody" being a swear word there.
The scene where Stimpy takes a shower is a reference to the 1960 film, Psycho. John didn't want this scene, but Nickelodeon kept it anyway.
