Synopsis

Part 1

Garfield is ready to enjoy the holidays, but is later convinced to help Arlene provide support for homeless animals.

Part 2

As Garfield helps the stray animals in the trainyard, Jon and Liz try to celebrate the holidays together with their families.

Why It Rocks

  1. Amazing and sweet plot, and it's one of the best to come from season 2, and thus make it one of the best episode of this season.
  2. Garfield finally realized holidays aren't just about eating and gifts.
  3. It gives a great message: Helping poor animals.
  4. It even shows a good moral of what Christmas is all about.
  5. Good ending.
  6. This episode is a good definition for tearjerking in a cartoon.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. The title card for part 2 is misleading as Nermal and the mice don’t appear in the episode at all.

Reception

It holds a rating of 8.3 out of 10 on IMDB.
