"It's a Cat's World" is the thirty-fifth episode in the first season of The Garfield Show.
Plot
Garfield gets sucked into a parallel universe where cats act like humans and vice versa.
Why It Rocks
- The plot is very different and creative, as it has Garfield getting sucked into a parallel universe where cats act like humans and vice versa.
- The start was pretty decent, as it was just classic Garfield with himself asking Odie to get him some food.
- "I'm a genius, Garfield! A genius!" - The parallel universe cat.
- The way the parallel universe cat showed Garfield how he got sucked into the parallel universe is interesting, thanks to his wormhole invention, the WHO (Wormhole Opener) - which is very impressive.
- The comic Garfield draws at the end is a nice reference to the Jim Davis comic art style.
- Good Ending: When typing in a code in the parallel universe cat's wormhole invention, the WHO, he gets sucked back into the normal parallel universe he was in at the start. Then, he spits a bone out of Odie and when Jon tells Garfield that his lasagna his ready, it ends with him drawing a comic.
Reception
It holds a rating of 7.6/10 on IMDB.
Trivia
- The episode title is a parody of the Disneyland ride, "It's a Small World".
- According to the Netflix subtitles, the cat in a jeep is revealed to be named "Cody".
