JJ Villard's Fairy Tales is an American adult animated horror comedy television series created by King Star King creator J. J. Villard. The series premiered on Cartoon Network's late night programming block, Adult Swim on May 11, 2020.

Things didn't seem magical on this show.

Why It's Anything But Magical

  1. The animation is god-awful. Saerom Animation is normally a great animation studio, but they unfortunately didn't use their talent and they were given such horrible materials to make animation this lazy.
  2. This is supposed to be a dark twisted parody of fairy tales, except they just come off as horribly disturbing; like Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" and A Pal for Gary disturbing, without adding anything original.
    • Yes, the original fairy tales were dark, but this is even more dark.
  3. The voice acting is an assault on your ears.
  4. The writing makes even lesser sense than in King Star King.
  5. There's literally nothing funny about this show at all.
  6. All the songs are off-key.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Despite the awful songs, the soundtrack is pretty fine to listen.
  2. It did have a decent concept, despite horrible execution.
  3. Despite how bad the writing, it is a bit of an improvement after King Star King
