Journey of the Light is an adventure game developed and published by Lord Kres and released on May 22, 2015.

Why There's No Light

1. Much like Hareraiser, the game was a scam attempt. Lord Kres had promised that the game was "the hardest puzzle game ever" and would have 7 chapters. But in reality, gamers quickly found out that there's literally nothing in the game but the first stage where there's nothing to do but wander around aimlessly.
2. Once gamers found this out, they started refunding the game en masse and criticizing Lord Kres for lying to gamers and accused him of being a con artist. He responded by saying that a supposed "bug fix" deleted the other chapters, that he would patch them back in at a later date and also said that the Trading Cards in the game had hints on how to clear Chapter 1.
3. Both claims were quickly refused and it was pointed out that getting the Trading Cards would require playing the game for more than two hours and run out the refund time limit so that was likely an attempt to stop people from refunding the game.
4. As expected, the game was never "patched" and Valve eventually removed it from Steam.

Reception

The game had a "Mostly Negative" rating on Steam and has been called out for being a scam attempt countless times.
