Lazy Sunday is the 28th episode of the 1st season of Teen Titans Go!.

Synopsis

Beast Boy and Cyborg are enjoying their Lazy Sunday (even though it's Tuesday) quite comfortably. Unfortunately, Robin is annoyed by Cyborg and Beast Boy's constant laziness, so he decides to donate the couch. The two friends decide that they have to go on a rescue mission to retrieve the couch at all costs...

Why It's Lazy

  1. Stupid/Nonsensical Plot: The entire plot relies on Cyborg and Beast Boy pretending it is Sunday, even though it is Tuesday to come up with an excuse to be lazy.
  2. The plot is also all over the place and feels like two episodes mashed together into one: The first half is just Cyborg and Beast Boy wanting to be lazy and the second half is Robin donating the couch and the Titans getting it back.
  3. Cyborg and Beast Boy are so lazy, they don’t want to get dinner, instead, they have Beast Boy transform into a bird, eat Starfire’s chili, then vomit it in Cyborg’s mouth. It’s very disgusting and it’s baffling how that got past the censors.
  4. Cyborg and Beast Boy are not only lazy, but also unlikable in this episode.
  5. The Couch Spirit also returns and he’s stupid.
  6. Annoyed, Robin gets rid of the couch and buys treadmill. The process is jarring.
  7. The sequence of Cyborg and Beast Boy going through the “five stages of grief” is very dumb because it’s done for death, not getting rid of prized possession.
  8. The Treadmill Spirit is annoying and has an annoying surfer dude accent.
  9. Bad ending: Cyborg and Beast Boy convince Robin to get the couch back. They keep the treadmill and couch and everyone gets their way.
  10. Bad lesson: It’s okay to be lazy to avoid responsibilities.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The song Beast Boy plays on the guitar is peaceful.
  2. Unikitty actually rehashed the plot of this episode for the episode, R & Arr and made it better.
