"Loony Cruise" is the second part of Episode 23 of Season 1 and the 68th episode overall of Zig & Sharko
Plot
A luxurious cruise arrives in the sea, but Sharko is not happy with it, so he needs to disguise himself as a human so that people will not get attacked by him. Meanwhile, Marina is pleased with the ship and dates a sailor, only for Sharko to get jealous.
Why Sharko Can Scare You In The Cruise
- Sharko is somewhat unlikeable in this episode as he was disturbed by a cruise ship while he was busy fanning Marina using an octopus.
- He is also mean-spirited to other people:
- Sharko beating a crew captain because he thinks that the person is Zig;
- Him scaring the child when he uses his sharp teeth;
- Him scaring another crew captain when the latter wanted him to join the dinner with Marina, who won in the casino slots;
- Him trashing the V.I.P dinner room when he saw Zig, without sailor clothes, attempting to eat Marina;
- He throws utensils and slices a whole cake into bits to a woman in the room, which causes her to get freak out. twice;
- He even beats up Zig when the latter noticed that he attempted to eat Marina; and
- He scares people when they know that there is a shark in the pool.
- There is a filler scene where the janitor orders Zig to clean up the entire cruise ship using a toothbrush.
- Plot hole: It is never explained how Zig attempts to enter the casino after cleaning the ship for a short minute.
- Another Plot hole: Before Zig acts like food, it is never explained how he enters the kitchen (offscreen). In real life, chefs would get scared by wild animals and order them to kick them out.
- This is also a Zig torture episode as he gets hurt when entering the luxury cruise:
- Those include him getting flattened like a paper when he enters there for the first time;
- Him cleaning up the cruise using a toothbrush;
- Him getting hurt by a pile of coins when Marina gets a jackpot in the slots; and
- Him getting beaten up by Sharko in the pool before scaring other people when they know that there is a shark in the cruise, which makes him look like a cube.
Redeeming Qualities
- Marina, Zig and Bernie are the only likable characters in this episode.
- Marina does enjoy the cruise in this episode and this is one of the good moments, especially the scene where she wins the slots game.
- A funny scene where Sharko attempts to lie down on the foldable chair, which gets hurt.
- Hilarious Ending: Sharko lies down in the foldable chair, but it crushes Sharko, which causes him to get hurt.
