"The Were-Yena" (French: "La Hyène Garou") is the sixty-seventh episode from season one of Zig & Sharko. It was written by Hugo Gittard and storyboarded by Alexandre Viano.
Plot
"Every time he eats a banana, Zig changes into a “were-yena” for a while and attacks the mermaid to eat her, of course. And Sharko tries to stop him, as usual. Only this time, he has a far more powerful Zig to deal with…
Why It's Got Stronger
- The premise of the episode is just great and one of the best from season 1, Zig wish to be stronger to beat Sharko and eating Marina, so Bernie do an invention that make him stronger but a kong did accidently drop a banana in it, but it still work since due to Zig drinking the whole thing, when he eat a banana, he became way stronger, what a way to do an awesome plot on a Zig & Sharko episode.
- Not to mention, this episode is a huge improvement over The Tiny Tyrant, but with more humor than violence.
- The design of Zig where he got stronger is really cool, and is simply iconic.
- Great animation as usual, but here it is better than usual due to being even more fluid and colorful.
- Zig plan is one of the best of season 1 and even manage to defeat Sharko in the beginning and almost did eat Marina, though the effect on him we're finished that time so he once again failed to eat Marina.
- All the characters are likable, even Zig is likable despite what he's done to Sharko.
- As usual, the soundtrack is decent and fit the episode.
- Lot of really funny moments, such as the fight beetween Zig and Sharko in the fight where Sharko do martial arts.
- Great voice acting for the stronger Zig.
Bad Qualities
- Bad Ending: In the end Marina did use the potion of The Were-Yena, and because of Zig screaming, Zig might get beaten up by Marina when she was a were-yena.
- Zig once again failed to eat Marina, despite that his plan was great and could have worked.
Trivia
- The title is a pun of The Werewolf.
