Munchy's Sinking Feeling was the second story from the 4th episode of Season 3 and the 84th story overall of PB&J Otter.
Synopsis
Munchy becomes upset when Walter Raccoon accidentally shipwrecks his toy boat. Despite his sad feelings, he is determined not to cry. Peanut, Jelly and the others try various ways of cheering him up, but only seem to make him feel sadder.
Why it Should Sink into the Water
- This episode is an 11-minute torture episode for Munchy
- This episode is basically the PB&J Otter version of The City of Frownsville, A Day Without Tears, Crying Smurfs, Go Cry a Kite, One Depressing Day and Dark Dawn, in which involve a character or more crying constantly throught the episode, this time being Munchy and Peanut respectively.
- Peanut is EXTREMELY unlikable in this episode because he screams at Pinch at one point, stating that "Bucky Spacebeaver is not a doll, he's an action figure" and he cries along with Munchy to get him to cheer up in the climax of this story.
- The most infamous scene is where Munchy and Peanut cry like babies together.
- The Laugh-It-Out song, while catchy, can be a bit annoying
- Munchy and Peanut's crying can be very annoying.
- Flick's joke is not very funny
- This episode fails to teach kids that it's okay to cry, it instead teaches them to throw tantrums when something goes wrong.
Redeeming Qualities
- The "Laugh it Out" song is quite catchy.
- Good animation as usual
- Everyone (except for Peanut, Munchy and Flick) are likable in this episode.
