PB&J Otter is an American animated musical children's television series that aired on Disney Channel's preschool block Playhouse Disney from March 14, 1998 to October 23, 2000. The series centers on the Otter family, who live in the rural fishing community of Lake Hoohaw. Most stories revolve around the three Otter kids: older brother Peanut, younger sister Jelly, and baby sister Butter (named after the peanut butter and jelly sandwich), as well as their friends and neighbors

Why it Deserves Babbleberry Pie

  1. This show was created by the same person who made Doug.
  2. Good animation, thanks to Plus One Animation animating it.
  3. Good and fun episodes like:

    3. It's a Bird, It's a Plane...It's an Elephant?
    4. Hope Castle
    5. Goodbye Lake Hoohaw
  4. Catchy and fun songs like "From Our Heart", "Imaginings", "No Place We'd Rather Be", "Make it Last" and of course, the Noodle Dance.
  5. Awesome characters like Peanut, Baby Butter Otter, Jelly Otter and more.
  6. Wonderful voice acting.
  7. Like some shows on Playhouse Disney, It avoided breaking the fourth-wall.

Bad Qualities That Don't Deserve Babbleberry Pie

  1. Some bad episodes like:
    1. Munchy's Sinking Feeling (the most infamous episode from the series)

  2. The Noodle Dance song, while catchy, can get very annoying at times.
  3. The animation, while good can be very stiff and suffers a lot of animation errors.
  4. The show has a lot of lost dubs, especially Greek.
  5. Flick Duck's voice in the Korean dub is terrible.
  6. It can be boring at times.

  • The page for the show at the official website for Cartoon Pizza offers nuggets about the philosophy of the program from Jim Jinkins, one of the show's creators. He states that he wanted to "create a series that celebrates family and community," one that "came out of the memories of my own childhood." He goes on to state that "There's a strong moral center to this world of Lake Hoohaw. And it's about having fun in a small community too."
