Power-Noia is the twelfth episode in the fourth season of The Powerpuff Girls.
Plot
After defeating a monster, the girls return home for some well-deserved sleep, but are unaware of the evil that lurks above them as it turns out that HIM has used the girls' own fears against them. The girls must face their greatest fears and bring down the monstrous HIM.
Why It's Fearless
- As always, the girls beating up the monster is great and satisfying to watch, along with them fighting HIM near the end.
- The nightmares the girls have are very creative and interesting, especially Blossom's one with everyone haunting her over a failed report card along with Bubbles getting haunted by a bunch of toys that came to life - and it avoids coming across as a Toy Story ripoff despite it looking similar.
- Speaking of which, the nightmares look very dark, scary and detailed, and so do the monsters and the Picasso-esque background in Buttercup's nightmare and the talking toys in Bubbles'.
- Good Moral: It's okay to be afraid but you must fight your fears.
- Some funny moments, such as Blossom thinking that Buttercup is scared of bugs and Buttercup says otherwise, calls her a know-it-all and requests a fight.
- The girls are still likable characters here, with Blossom getting Buttercup and Bubbles and correcting everyone in the class who turned out to be all clones of HIM, Buttercup facing her fears and defeating the monster from her nightmare and Bubbles doing the exact same.
- Good Ending: With HIM defeated, it's morning time and the girls wake up only to find that the Professor is on their bed as he got scared and had a nightmare, as well and it ends with Bubbles saying they'll protect the Professor and the narrator says that the day was saved thanks to the Powerpuff Girls.
Reception
- It holds a rating of 7.6 out of 10 on IMDB.
Trivia
- MsMojo ranked this as the #5 darkest episode of The Powerpuff Girls.
