Trivia
- In an interview with Tom Kenny, while recording the episode, the voice actors found it hard to say stuff like "Hey Patrick, how the _ are you", so they asked Nickelodeon if they could just cuss and they would just bleep it out, and they said yes. However, there have been recorded moments of the voice actors swearing, whether in interviews or adult movies, like in Jennifer's Body when Bill Fagerbakke, Patrick's voice actor said I'LL CUT OFF YOUR NUTSACK AND NAIL IT TO MY DOOR, LIKE ONE OF THOSE LION DOORKNOCKERS RICH FOLKS GOT! THAT WILL BE YOUR BALLS!!
Reception
The episode received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, while various members of the SpongeBob SquarePants crew consider the episode to be one of their favorites, mainly due to the satirical nature of the episode. Unfortunately, the episode was not immune to negative reception, and was criticized by the Parents Television Council, who interpreted the episode as an example of promoting profanity towards children - even though the purpose of the episode was to deter profanity.
