SpongeBob's Last Stand is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season 7. In this episode, Jellyfish Fields is threatened by the construction of a highway built by Plankton.

Why It Gives A Chance

  1. It has a very interesting concept.
  2. The voice acting is great as usual.
  3. The majority of the characters are endearing, a rarity for episodes in Seasons 6 -8.
    • SpongeBob and Patrick swiftly spring into action to halt Plankton's highway construction that threatens Jellyfish Fields.
    • Initially, the Bikini Bottomites vote for the highway construction, overcoming SpongeBob and Patrick's protests against it. However, they eventually join forces with SpongeBob and his friends to help defeat Plankton.
    • In this episode, Plankton emerges as a particularly menacing and formidable villain, with his actions posing a serious threat to the existence of Jellyfish Fields.
  4. The song "Give Jellyfish Fields a Chance" is quite entertaining, especially with its references to previous episodes.
  5. There are plenty of good and funny moments to be found here and there.
    • In the Flashback scene, where the Judge want to build the Shelly Superhighway, and when everyone is say "I", Mr. Krabs is also saying "I", this could be ruined the Krusty Krab business for his plan.
    • In the end of the "Gives Jellyfish Field Chance" song, Patrick glued the poster to strong guy, and pummels SpongeBob that think was SpongeBob fault.
    • When Mr. Krabs are surrender and give the Secret Formula to Plankton, Mr. Krabs to planning a serious plans: Plan Z-99, this plans is the only way to surrender him to retrieve him for Plankton, only get zapping by Jellyfish due to his attacks.
    • Some Incidental saying their name, it's funny, but too long.
    • At the near end of the episode, SpongeBob and his friends including Bikini Bottomites to push the bulldozer to getting rid the highway.
  6. Good ending: SpongeBob demolished the Shelly Superhighway and sing "Jellyfishing song" One more time.
  7. It conveys a strong moral lesson on the importance of environmental protection.

Bad Qualities That Not Gives A Chance

  1. In the first half of the episode, the residents of Bikini Bottom are portrayed negatively as they support the construction of Plankton's highway, overlook the serious consequences for Jellyfish Fields, and obstruct SpongeBob and Patrick's efforts to protest against it.
    • The police officer's actions are far more questionable, as he unjustly arrests SpongeBob and Patrick and abandons them in a remote area.
  2. The pacing can be slow, especially at the start of the episode. As a result, this episode might have been more suitable as an 11-minute episode rather than a 22-minute special.
  3. Typically, for Seasons 6-8, the animation quality is not the best and includes some occasional errors.
