Qualities That Aren't Amazing
- Every episode mostly has the same storyline all over again, which makes it very repetitive.
- Some of the characters are pretty annoying and unlikable.
- Lee is an unlikeable leader and a snobbish loser who thinks he’s better than everyone else
- Tami is a younger rip-off of Mandy
- The show's villains are just incredibly generic and too unlikable
- Lame humor and weak comedy.
- Annoying theme song.
- Like Doogal, it has no sense of pacing, especially in the season 1 episode "Operation: Dyno-might!".
- For some reason, they made Jerry shorter through a shrinking device in one of the episodes but forgot to undo it, making Jerry look odd compared to how he did in Totally Spies.
- They hinted at a possible love story between Tami and Lee which ends up going nowhere.
Qualities That Are Amazing
- Some of the characters from Totally Spies! (such as Jerry) reappeared in this show as supporting characters.
- Good animation that is somewhat faithful to the main series.
- Marc and Lee, despite being the stereotypical "smart" and "lazy" guys, respectively, are enjoyable characters whose interactions are fun to watch.
- The crossover episode featuring Sam, Clover, and Alex from Totally Spies! was decent.
- Tami’s character slightly improved in season two, being a little nicer to Megan and her brothers.
- The voice acting is at least passable.
- There are a few funny moments.

Reception
The Amazing Spiez! received mixed to negative reviews for its repetitive storylines and unlikable characters, particularly Lee, who was seen as an arrogant leader, and Tami, a knockoff of Mandy from Totally Spies!. The villains were considered generic, and the humor fell flat for many viewers. The theme song was also seen as irritating, and episodes like "Operation: Dyno-might!" were noted for poor pacing. Fans were further frustrated by odd choices like shrinking Jerry permanently and teasing a romance between Tami and Lee that went nowhere.
