Plot

After Richard's stupidity, Granny Jojo (Joanna) overprotects the family, except Nicole, by making them safe and losing their brains.

Why There's No Authority

  1. Granny Jojo is at her absolute worst here, because she teaches their family some lessons by making them safe and losing their brains, shocking Nicole when she finds out.
    • She teaches Gumball to not leave the house since it is dangerous, which makes sense since children would get lost from time to time in real life, but instead. She literally chase him with a car almost running over him!
    • She teaches Darwin to not use knives, which also makes sense since they would get injuries or cuts. She just fake cut her arm which scared Darwin. Oh my, what a good grandmother you are.
    • She teaches Anais to not open or close windows, which makes no sense since opening or closing windows are part of their lives when there is smoke or cold air, or when it is nighttime, it would be closed.
    • She teaches Richard to not use tools, which also makes no sense since adults use tools to build or fix something, and this is also part of their lives.
    • She makes their family safe and brainless by eating junk food, thus making them look like Richard.
    • When Nicole appears, she attempts to hit Granny Jojo, but most of the objects are harmless.
      • In fact, speaking of teaching, she makes her a terrible mother overall.
  2. The opening scene shows Richard acting stupid by throwing batteries on the TV and on the satellite since the remote has no batteries. He could have made common sense by just attacking the batteries in the remote so that he could watch it.
  3. Nicole bending the IV pole into a curve, for being the cheapest item, even though it costs 300 Dollars makes no sense since it is still expensive in real life.
  4. Joanna and Nicole are fighting in the direction of the nearest car, causing Gumball to stretch his head and scare Felicity because of that.
  5. Gumball is seen failing to do the flip on the skateboard, which causes him to hit in the crotch and knocks his face, alongside Darwin and Anais.
  6. Plot holes:
    • Richard would have paid for the damage to the TV after breaking its screen by throwing the batteries.
      • Nicole would have paid the IV pole after bending it since that one is expensive.
    • Granny Jojo teaches Anais and Richard on how to not be safe around windows and tools respectively, even though they are normal things to do.
    • The Watterson family, except Nicole, eats one junk food and becomes fat afterward, it would have been belly bloated when they eat them. Also, one junk food does not make them obese.
  7. Since when do the objects turn plastic, paper, or rubber?
    • While it is acceptable for the painting to be mostly paper, flower vases should not be plastic since most of them are ceramic and lamps are not made of rubber since they are mostly wood, and lamp heads are cloth or paper.
  8. When Nicole tells her siblings and her husband to remember, they imagine something suffering before they learn anything, though this one is an okay scene:
    • Darwin heated the food in the microwave, but it exploded and food spilled all over the room.
    • Gumball attempted to get the chocolate bar from the vending machine but his hands got stuck in it, causing the fireman to cut the glass.
    • Anais was about to reach the cookie jar, but the drawer hits on her face.
    • Richard was unique to others, he had the ability to brake the car, but ended up failing because he crashed into Principal Brown's car.
  9. While Granny Joanna apologizes to her family, it is completely rushed since that episode comes to an end when Nicole suddenly passes out, making this predictable at best.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The Watterson family, except Granny Jojo, is likable.
  2. Granny Jojo finally show remorse to the family about what she has done to her authority self.
  3. Good Ending: After the Watterson family finally learns their lesson about remembering their mistakes, as mentioned before, Granny Jojo apologizes to them for her authority and calls Nicole for being a good mother.
  4. Good morals:
    • Respect your authorities, no matter how strict they are.
    • Always learn from their mistakes and understand their morals.
    • If there is a small thing, do not make a big deal out of it.
    • If you are a good parent, respect their siblings and understand their rules and lessons.
