"The Day the Store Stood Still" is the 18th episode of The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange. It was directed by Ken Mitchroney, and written by Duncan Trussell.

Plot

When Orange and the others see that the sun is still on the sky at nighttime, Grandpa Lemon says that the Earth Hamster is the one who controls time and must have stop rolling on its wheel, so Orange and the Fruit Gang go to the middle of the Earth to tell the Hamster to keep rolling on the wheel.

Bad Qualities

  1. This episode has multiple horrible and disturbing jump-scares:
    • The face Jason Jr. makes when Orange makes fun of his tiny horn.
    • During the scene where the gang digs to the Earth's core, a giant mole finds them.
    • While the gang is exploring in some type of a Underground cave, a giant talking mushroom with legs appears in front of them.
  2. The idea that a hamster running on a wheel is what’s rotating the Earth is very stupid and makes absolutely no sense.
  3. Orange is very unlikable here, because he’s even more annoying, is a jerk to Stary, and even betted his and his friends lives.
  4. The creatures we see are not only ugly, put also pretty scary, like how the hamster wasn’t cute at all.
  5. Some of the characters are absent in this episode. For example, where are Little Apple and Marshmallow!?
  6. Apple usually comes back alive in the next episode after his hilarious death, but we see him moments later after his death. How did he come back so quickly!?
  7. The ending is very predictable, where the fruits end up saving the day and they all go home freely.
  8. Too much lame jokes and humor, whether it’s gross or not.

Good Qualities

  1. The other main characters in the episode are still pretty likable.
  2. Interesting idea of the fruits going to the center of the Earth.
  3. Some of the locations are interesting, like the caves of crystal, which makes sense, because the Earth’s deeper layers have crystal in them.
  4. Apple’s death is hilarious as always, and there are some funny moments in the episode.
  5. Orange does apologize to Stary, and he gives away his gaming console to Jason Jr., which is ok.
  6. This episode is a perfect example on how a YouTube star on TV just doesn’t work out most of the time.
  7. The scene where Neville gets scared at Jason Jr. after he calls him a noob is the only funny moment in the episode.
