The Gift of Gum is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season 4. In this episode, Patrick gives SpongeBob a glob of gum for Best Friends Day, but SpongeBob wants to get rid of it.

Plot

Patrick gives SpongeBob a glob of gum for Best Friends Day. But when in actuality, SpongeBob hate this, and it really want to getting rid to him.

Sticky Qualities

  1. First of all, this is a gross-out SpongeBob Torture as it really want to replacing the robot to this big gross gums. But in actuality, SpongeBob hate this and he really want to rid this giant ball bubblegum from his house.
  2. The gummy's close-up is absolutely gross and disturbing, with so many items that has been put on this, even people who had been trapped in the giant ball bubblegum.
  3. Patrick is very unlikable and idiotic, as he really want to keeping the gummy safe.
  4. Plot Hole:
    • How did Patrick and the robot teleported to save gummy from being gotten rid of?
  5. Bad Ending: After Patrick eating all the bubblegum that SpongeBob and his friends has been trapped from. Patrick is becoming fat and it hiccups to pops, making of whole city is covering with bubblegum.
  6. Overall, this is not only a mediocre way to end of Season 4 in production order but ended Zeus Cervas and Erik Wiese's duo.
  7. The infamous scene where Underwear crawl up to SpongeBob's face.

Not-So-Sticky Qualities

  1. Patrick still likable, sometimes, as it's actually helping to SpongeBob and his friends to free from bubblegum.
  2. Spongebob and his friends is likable.
  3. The animation and the voice actors is still great.
  4. There's some good moments here and there.

Reception

While the first segment of episode 80, Best Day Ever was positive reviews, this second segment was mixed to negative reviews due to SpongeBob torture, Patrick being idiotic, and the gummy is absolutely gross when they close-up.
