It is certainly a felony that this is a bad Valentine’s Day special... if you can even call it one!

The Melony Felony is the fourth episode of the eleventh season of SMG4. This episode was aired on February 13th, 2021.
Synopsis
On Valentine's Day, a jealous Axol does a "special" where he "kills" Melon-kun when Melony cares more for it than him, and winds up having a restraining order of no longer being friends placed upon him. Now that Bob's taken Axol's spot as Melony's friend, Axol must find a way to make things right.
Why It’s a Serious Felony
- Melony is at her absolute worst here, as she was being overly whiny over the fact one fictional character she really enjoyed, that being Watermelon-kun, gets killed by Axol in his fake live show. Granted, Melony is a watermelon herself, however it's not like Watermelon-kin is just a close relative of hers or something. Due to this she basically rejects Axol almost all the way through due to that reason, thus throwing him into a most likely fake kangaroo court (mostly referred as a fruit court), with Meggy's involvement, which is just for the sake of berating Axol more. Not to mention the decision for Axol to never be friends with Melony again is extremely unrealistic, even for SMG4 standards. She is also pretty unfunny throughout the whole video. For example, there is a scene where she and Bob rap downtown, and it’s painfully annoying to hear (although WolfyChu would significantly improve in later videos thankfully). In the end, she forgives Axol as if nothing had happened, even though he killed off her favorite character in a very forced way, which in reality it would take longer to someone to forgive another for such act.
- Axol is no better than Melony, as he is also at his absolute worst here, as it just shows how much of a creepy simp he has gotten in early-2021. He doesn’t seem to notice that since Melony was once an ambiguously-sentient watermelon, she only has eyes for other watermelons (though they would develop some kind of platonic relationship later on). While it is justified that he now has a love interest, here, he somewhat goes as far as to go to stalking territory, overreacting way too much of whatever she does here. At one point, he shoots three Goombas just so he can make Melony think that she is tough, which is just stupid. Also, does his flanderization sound familiar?.
- This is nothing but an Axol torture video, while Axol was still unlikable here, he was just endlessly treated as a punching-bag just for the sake of the plot.
- This video has some of the most unrealistic and dumbest plots in SMG4, and not in a good way.
- Mario, SMG4 and Meggy (while the former is likable) are filler characters (with the latter as always) as they don't have much importance to the plot and you can just imagine the episode not having them in it.
- Mario, while likeable and funny here, feels more like an afterthought.
- Also, while Meggy was nowhere as involved and hatable as some of her other appearances, it also doesn't help that she does too feel shoehorned into the episode for the sake of the plot (as usual as part of her flanderization/creator's pet personality, as well as to give an excuse for her ongoing "identity crisis" character arc).
- All SMG4 does is that he tells Bob And Axol to "Get The Fuck Out Of his Room".
- The scene where Melony sleeps on top of a McDonald's sign is incredibly nonsensical and unrealistic. For starters, how on Earth was Melony able to get up there? More importantly, is Melony more concerned about sleeping on anything than potentially falling to her death?
- Plot Hole: During the Kangaroo Court scene, Melony and Meggy ruled Axol to never be friends with Melony, yet at the end, they suddenly become friends again with no mention of the Kangaroo court whatsoever (though this could likely be because it might've been a fake one, it was never explained if that was the case).
- The thumbnail is somewhat misleading here as it depicts Melony with a gun, almost as if she was gonna kill someone, specifically Axol, though that never happens, unless you count the finger gun scene during the part in which Melony and Bob rap as the Goomba gangsters order them to get out of their property.
- Some boring and/or filler-heavy moments here and there.
- Half-Bad Ending: As mentioned in WIAF #1, Melony forgives Axol as if nothing had happened, not to much it just ends with a party at McDonalds that comes out completely out of nowhere.
Redeeming Qualities
- Bob was great in this episode, showing more things to life with Melony and actually was willing to help Axol gain back Melony.
- Mario was also quite likeable here as well, despite being pointless here.
- Some admittedly funny scenes, such as Axol tricking Bob into going to a room where it appears that Axol is threatening him with a knife, before turning out to be him cutting a slice of cake to give to Bob for help and Ronald McDonald yelling at Melony to get down from his sign.
- While certainly in need of character improvement, it was nice that Axol had a main protagonist role in an SMG4 video, with this episode focusing on his narrative. Of course, whether or not he was ready to have one may depend on your point of view.
- Half-Good Ending: Despite the somewhat confusing plot hole, Axol and Melony do manage to become friends again after this. Plus, Axol does somewhat learn his mistakes at the end.
- In future episodes, however, Axol is slowly going back to his original self, although he has been kinda overprotective towards Melony as shown in "Into the Dark Web" (though he has a point about her being as innocent as a 5-year-old).
Trivia
- This episode was briefly alluded to in the SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special, with the Watermelon-kun "death" occurring once again in one scene and Melony becoming saddened over it.
