The Really Loud House is an American live-action series for Nickelodeon, based on the animated series. Like its parent series, it follows a boy named Lincoln, who lives at home with his ten sisters, Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily.

Most of the main cast members from A Loud House Christmas (Wolfgang Schaeffer, Jahzir Bruno, Brian Stepanek, Lexi DiBenedetto, Sophia Woodward, Catherine Ashmore Bradley, Aubin Bradley, Ella Allan, Mia Allan, and Lexi Janicek) reprise their roles.

Plot

The new series will follow Lincoln Loud, an 11-year-old boy, with 10 sisters, as he navigates everyday life while living with such a large family. Known as the, “man with a plan,” Lincoln enlists the help of his best friend Clyde McBride, to tackle the obstacles and mayhem that they encounter, during their daily adventures.

Why It's Still The Best Dang Brother Anywhere Around

  1. Unlike other live-action series by Nick, such as, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, it doesn't have any use of the annoying laugh track.
    • It's also a massive improvement over The Fairly OddParents reboot, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, which is saying a lot.
  2. The acting from the awful Christmas live-action film improved.
  3. Likable characters, especially Lincoln and Clyde. All of the characters in the Loud family, have returned to their original personalities, after being dumbed down in the 4th season onwards of the original show, especially in the episodes, No Suck Luck and Schooled!
  4. The theme song is catchy, as it uses a remixed version of the original cartoon theme.
  5. Great soundtrack such as: Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone, What is Love, etc.
  6. Majority of good episodes.
  7. Lincoln can break the fourth wall by talking to the audience every time, just like in seasons 1-3 of the original cartoon, and it isn't that annoying, as many preschool shows constantly break the fourth wall, like Dora the Explorer and Little Einsteins.
  8. The romantic relationship between Lincoln and Charlie Uggo is actually very cute.
  9. The other characters from the original cartoon finally appeared, such as Todd, Zach, Liam, Rusty, Stella, Mr. Bolhofner, Miss Allegra, Flip, Boris, Dante, Haiku, Mr. Grouse and Principal Ramirez.
    • Some of the new characters are also likable such as Charlie Uggo.
  10. There are musical moments, especially the song, "There's No Place Like Flip's" sung by the Loud family, and Flip, in the episode, "The Princess and the Everlasting Emerald: A Royal Woods Fairytale".
  11. In "Heart and Soul", Justin Allan and Ava Torres respectively play younger versions of Wolfgang Schaeffer (Lincoln) and Sophia Woodward (Luna).
    • Similarly, "Spelling and Doorbelling", has Parker Quinn Wermann as a younger version of Catherine Bradley (Luan).
  12. Aside from most of the leads, alongside Jeff Bennett as the voice of Mick Swagger, reprising their roles from A Loud House Christmas, Brian Stepanek reprises his role, as the voice of Todd, from the animated series.
    • In, "Ro-Bro", John DiMaggio reprises his role, as Mr. Grouse, from the animated series, via a voice-only cameo.
    • Tony Hawk appears, as himself, in, "No Louds Allowed", having previously voiced himself, in The Casagrandes.
    • Alongside the voice actors, that already reprised their roles, from the animated series in A Loud House Christmas, the Italian dub has Gianandrea Muià, Ilaria Silvestri, Annalisa Longo and Marco Balzarotti reprising their respective roles as Rusty, Stella, Haiku, and Mr. Bolhofner.
  13. It's an improvement, over the infamous live-action Christmas film, and to an extent, the 4th seasons onwards, of the original cartoon.
  14. Lots of memorable and heartwarming moments.
  15. The second season is arguably an improvement from Season One, even if both are still good.

"Dang It!" Qualities

  1. While most of the characters from the original cartoon returned, some of them such as, the Casagrandes and Chandler, are missing.
  2. Some bad episodes such as The Blemish Dilemish.
  3. Lincoln can be selfish sometimes, just like in seasons 1-3 of the original cartoon.
  4. Normally sweet-natured, and innocent Clyde, is much more sarcastic, and irritable, in this series, than he is, in the cartoon. Likewise, Lincoln also counts. As he's a lot more selfish in this series, even wanting Clyde to fail, when he takes over as the man with a plan.
  5. Too much toilet, and gross-out humor:
    • Luan is forced to pee in the bushes in, "The Chore Thing", with Lisa testing her Zapmaster 3000 in the bathroom.
      • In the same episode, Lynn Sr. tries to reassure his wife, he can handle the management of chores, and adds, "trust me". Rita answers back, that, the last time he said that, she had to poop in the forest.
    • In "Ro-Bro", Lincoln is forced to go to the bathroom in the bushes, with Lana's rooster, using the bathroom.
      • In the same episode, Lana goes number 2, claiming she hasn't clogged the toilet yet. When Lynn Sr. wakes up, Lana tells him to stay out of the bathroom for seven hours, saying she clogged the toilet so bad, it look seven hours to fix.
    • "The Blemish Dilemish" has someone make a voice clip song out of Lincoln's butt pimple speech. According to Leni, it's gone viral and has been seen by 8 million people.
    • In, "The Guy Who Makes You Fly", Lynn Jr. tells Lola, to hurry up with a dump she is taking, by saying, "you will never be number one, until you push out that number two!"
  6. As in A Loud House Christmas, Luna and Luan are taller than Leni. This time, however, Luan is also taller than Lori.
  7. Once again, Lincoln's live-action voice actor, Wolfgang Schaeffer, wears a white wig, just like in the Christmas live-action film.
  8. There are disturbing moments:
    • In, "The Chore Thing", The custard gang had slaughtered the previous kingpin, Pablo Ice Cream Bar and his gang, by turning them into milkshakes, and drinking them.
    • In "The Blemish Dilemish", Lisa gets shot in the chest with an arrow after sneezing while trying to take a shortcut to school. When she visits Lynn Sr. about it, he tries to yank the arrow out, but Rita stops him just in time, considering his limited medical knowledge.
    • In the same episode, they put Lincoln, who's actor was a child, in an adult diaper.
  9. This series is full of product placements and pop-culture references in every episode.
  10. The Halloween special film is terrible.
  11. In "All Is Fair in Love and Sleepovers", Liam has a crush on Luna, but since it's already been well-established she has a girlfriend, including in the Christmas movie, Loud House fans already know, it's not gonna work out.
  12. Luan does pretty bad pranks.
    1. In "Spelling and Doorbelling", Lincoln allowed Clyde, to get hit by the boxing glove Luan planted, in the fridge, claiming he already saw it coming, only to get squirted in the face, when he opened the sparkling water can immediately after, which further proved Clyde's assumption, that Luan shook up the can, to be correct.

Reception

Stephanie Snyder from Common Sense Media gave the series three-out-of-five stars, saying that, "the live-action show is sure to capture the hearts of young viewers who already loved The Loud House as they see the characters come to life."
