Synopsis

Part 1: When their world starts disappearing, the Titans must confront their creators at Warner Bros. Studios.

Part 2: The Titans learn how difficult it is to make a cartoon when they try to animate Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath.

Why It Sucks 200 Times

  1. To get the elephant out of the room, this episode does not feel like a 200th celebration as it claims. But rather the writers giving their haters a middle finger as they spend the entire special criticizing the audience
  2. This episode is also a fourth wall episode and not only it was done for the writers to tell us to “pity [them]” but it is done poorly. The way the writers are not working is done terribly because the characters fade away like in Back to the Future. This is not a good way to convey animation, the best examples of this are the Amazing World of Gumball episode, The Money and the Regular Show series finale, A Regular Epic Final Battle.
  3. They also act like fart jokes are the only jokes on the show when there are other equally bad jokes and sadistic humor that matches up to modern Family Guy.
  4. This episode not only insult the Teen Titans Go! haters but the animation industry as a whole. Yep, the Titans literally go through the 4th wall and wind up at Warner Bros. studios and the staff are being treated like prisoners, the studio is a dungeon, and the CEO is depicted as some God. It’s like the writers actually hate their jobs. Why did they become animators in the first place then?
    • There are a lot of animators out there like Disney, or even any production companies around the globe, who actually love their jobs. Without animation, who's gonna animate the show then?
  5. They also say the show is bad because “animation is hard” and that is pitiful excuse because every animator will tell you this, yet, there are many good cartoons out there such as The Amazing World of Gumball, Family Guy, SpongeBob SquarePants, Star vs. The Forces of Evil, Regular Show, Gravity Falls, The Loud House, Adventure Time and Steven Universe. Yet, they are miles better. This further proves the animators don’t care about their jobs or greatly dislike them and purposefully make the show bad and expect us to pity them. There is no pity too because many episodes even prove that it can take two months to make an episode. How do we know? All episodes that involve time machines have the episode’s airdate stamped on it, this is suspicious because other studios say that they don’t when an episode will air. (The best example is the Steven Universe staff, whenever a fan asks when a hiatus will be over, the crew always responds that they don’t know when) So, how do we expect to feel pity when they not only make the show bad but get an episode finished within less than two months?
    • It may be true though, animation is a grueling process, even Disney animators will tell you this but clearly, they’re not working as hard as the writers of other shows.
  6. The writers also say that they need a break but it feels more like a cheap ploy to make us feel sorry for them.
  7. The writers even say that they make fart jokes but that’s not 100% true because the show also uses other types of grossout humor, black comedy, and cheap jokes.
  8. The episode the Teen Titans make is worse and more rushed than the entire show itself.
  9. The ending of the episode is the final nail in the coffin because it features a shot of animated children twerking while watching Teen Titans Go!. This further proves that the writers know that they’re a bad influence on the target audience yet don’t change it. This also proves the show is bad on purpose.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The Titans interacting with their actors is hilarious.
  2. Michael’s children are cute.
  3. Aaron’s father is introduced and he will go on to be joke character until his eventual real-life death.
  4. The “Working On An Episode” song is somewhat catchy.
