The Yogi Bear Show is a Hanna-Barbera show focusing on the titular character; Yogi Bear at Jellystone National Park. The show started off as a segment on The Huckleberry Hound Show in 1958 before it became it's own spinoff in 1961. The show became popular and Yogi is now one of the most memorable Hanna-Barbera characters alongside The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo.

Plot

You'd better keep an eye on your pic-a-nic basket because everyone's favorite resident of Jellystone Park is on the prowl. Yogi Bear has an insatiable appetite that is minimized only by the goodies he finds in the baskets he filches from Jellystone visitors. And because he is -- at least in his own mind -- "smarter than the average bear," the bruin devises all kinds of schemes to get the baskets. The pint-sized pal of affable Yogi acts as his conscience and tries to stop him, but Boo Boo rarely succeeds. Ranger Smith, whose duty it is to keep the park safe, also tries to keep Yogi in check.

Why It's Smarter Than The Average TV Show

  1. A lot of funny moments and humor.
  2. A wide range of likable characters especially Yogi and Boo Boo.
  3. A lot of colorful and appealing backgrounds.
  4. It received it’s own merchandising line, movies, games, and spin-offs.
  5. Talented voice acting by Daws Butler and Don Messick.
  6. Appropriate background music.
  7. A bunch of memorable quotes, especially "Pic-I-Nic Basket!"
  8. The 1964 film; Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear!, was also good and stayed true to the original source material well enough.
  9. Yogi's Birthday Party was a heartwarming Special.
  10. Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle cartoons are decent.

Bad Qualities
