Decentraland is a blockchain/NFT browser game developed by Decentraland Foundation. It was fully released on February 20th, 2020 for Microsoft Windows

Why It's Not Decentralized

  1. First off, the game is an NFT 3D virtual world, which alone is a massive red flag, since NFTs used to be notorious for being harmful to the environment, especially Ethereum, the game's main blockchain, until September 2022, when Ethereum became safer, but even then, they're still pointless, since they're nothing but PNGs that you can save with rigth click, click "Save Image As", and that's it.
  2. The gameplay is simply barebones, and boring, because all you do is walking, and that's pretty much it. You can change to first person, and use voice chat, but overall, it's simply barren.
  3. Awful and outdated graphics, looking like a shovelware Roblox game. Funnily enough, recent Roblox games look way better than every game made in Decentraland. The textures lack any form of detail, and the render distance is broken, as the assets render in front of you, making the worlds look more barren than they already are.
  4. Despite the bad graphics, and having a launcher that boosts it, the performance is sluggish, and awful. It struggles to maintain 60FPS, or even 30FPS, making the boring gameplay a complete chore.
  5. Most of the "games" in here are simply barren, broken, empty, and dysfunctional, and some games with cool concepts ended up working terribly due to Decentraland's limited gameplay.
